Kudos and special thanks to Amina and Anna at the front desk for being so hospitable and friendly, really felt welcome here. Housekeeping did a great job although there were some difference in the bath mat and the body wash gel that I received on day 3 were different from day 1 and 2, was also kinda disappointed the room did include a dental and shaving kit. The room heater was kinda tricky too as the temperature keeps reducing throughout the night and the heat was reducing when I really needed it. All in all nothing major but just wanted to share these observations.

Nice hotel beautiful grounds. Welcoming staff and southern manners and service. Well appointed room /suite and with nice insight bar and restaurant. Only complaint would be the soaps in my room were wretched smelling of lilac. On my last day without asking another neutral soap set was in the room. Wish I had known of that options a few days earlier. Put them Both in the room. Or ditch the lilac.

I’ve dined at the restaurant for years and had great experiences. The menu often changes. During holidays like Valentine’s Day, there is a set menu and live piano music (the prices are also more expensive during than usual). I stayed at one of the hotel rooms last year during the pandemic, it was very clean and quiet. The decor was old fashioned but elegant. If you are in Durham or at Duke for business, this is a great option. Many locations in town are walking distance or a short bus or drive away.

Lovely hotel near Duke University. The perfect location for golf lovers! The hotel features a restaurant/bar, indoor pool, specialty golf store for shopping, gym and valet parking is available if desired. The staff was always polite and friendly. Someone in our group left a very expensive watch after our departure. We called the hotel and informed them. Within minutes they returned the call and told us they located the watch and would mail it. Often times when expensive items are left behind at hotels they become lost forever (stolen). This was not the case in this situation. The honesty and promptness of the staff was appreciated and applauded. I highly recommend the hotel. I will be a customer for life.😊

I’m blown away by the hospitality at this unique hotel. Everyone from the concierge, to the people running check in, to the wonderful restaurant team and beyond is so incredibly hard working and warm hearted. Some notable things: The check in process literally took 45 seconds. The hotel has so much character and history. Everything is sparkling clean. There’s plenty of parking. The pool and restaurant are open until 10pm. (Restaurant technically open until 11 for lounging) The food in the restaurant is SO GOOD. We came in for dinner wearing pajama shorts and baseball jerseys, yet the restaurant team was nonetheless welcoming and courteous. They even changed the tv in the lounge to the baseball game we were watching. We went for a swim in the indoor pool, and a gentleman came in about halfway through our swim and dropped off a load of warm towels. We felt so welcomed by all of the extra touches that this hardworking team of people put together. Whether you are just traveling through, playing golf, or visiting Duke, this is THE place to stay in Durham. This will be such a treasured memory on our road trip. Thank you to everyone here for making our stay so memorable!

Easily the best hotel in Durham. Beautiful, very well maintained, and great restaurants and bars. The golf course attached is awesome. The greens are insanely hard and roll so fast but it’s an awesome course.

Attended a wedding here and it was fantastic. The food top notch and the staff professional without being stuffy. Really perfect.

A resort feeling. Nice golf course. Good to get a view of the Tee off point and 19th hole section. Post thunderstorm and rain the grass looked more beautiful and serene.

The Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club is one of Durham's finest location for dining, meeting rooms and conferences and walking trails. I have always found available free parking although Valet services are available. There are also bellman to meet you at the door should you need help bringing bags, etc. inside. Since the Inn is quite large there is plenty of signage and helpful staff to help you. One of my favorite places, not to mention that the grounds are always beautiful.

Finally had a chance to do my birthday dinner. Food and service were excellent as usual. Well worth the expense.

Stayed at the inn last weekend and it was quiet and lovely. The staff are courteous and kind. It was a nice room (single king) and we enjoyed being right on Duke campus.

Fantastic service with staff that is incredibly welcoming, cordial, and helpful. The property itself is beautifully decorated, and the rooms (at least the one I stayed in) spacious. It's an easy walk to the University, especially Cameron Stadium. Breakfast buffet is good with a great omelet/eggs station. The pancakes are excellent. Nice bar to hit up and relax in in the evenings. The indoor pool is nice. The gym is basic though with just dumbbells, treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes.

The hotel and restaurant were decorated so lovely for the holidays. They even had a beautiful menorah burning brightly in the lobby. I was there with my retired friends for our holiday luncheon. The food was good. My soup was delicious but not hot. My turkey sandwich was less desirable. I was bummed that the online menu did not match the one in the restaurant. I like to take a look at the menu a day or so before, so it won't take forever for me to order. As I looked around the table, everyone had nice plates of food. The salads were beautifulIy made. I just don't think the prices are reasonable...my friend got the $27 Shrimp and grits and it looked delicious!!! But, it wasn't a $27 portion. If you want to eat in a classy, expensive place, this is it. Great food, well...sorta. Yes my dining experience here was three stars, but I will give them FIVE STARS for such a lovely holiday decorated lobby. Also ten stars for the cleanest, neatest and best smelling ladies room in the city...in my opinion!!

We had our wedding reception here because of the wonderful experiences we had over the years. One of our first dates was at the restaurant there. After that, we have been countless times. Perfect doesn’t come close to doing this place justice. The food is out of this world. Every single staff member makes this place the most magical one. It will always be so special to us and we will keep coming back!
