Submit An Event
Take the bull by the horns.
Do you have an event that you'd like to add to the Durham event calendar? Submit the event information below for consideration.
In the interest of cultivating an easy-to-use digital resource for both Durhamites and Durham visitors, we have created the following guidelines for event listings on discoverdurham.com.
Events should have the following qualities:
-Supports tourism in our region and draws visitors;
-Encourages visitor spending and tax generation within Durham County;
-Accessible to the general public.
Events NOT likely to be considered include exceedingly localized events
like summer camp programs and exclusionary religious/political events, or product demonstrations and sales events whose primary purpose is to sell or promote the products or services of a single business.
Do you intend to host graduations, homecomings, reunions or school group-specific meetings or functions? Please contact our sales team.
Educational classes or workshops, receptions, or specialized social gatherings will be considered on a case by case basis. Is your event accessible and welcoming to all? Is it likely to draw folks to Durham from near and far? Does it embody the spirit of the Bull City? Is it representative of our culture and community? Chances are that it qualifies as an event for the Discover Durham calendar. If you have any questions at all about whether your event meets these criteria, please contact us.
Similarly, if the event is cancelled or the details change after you have submitted an event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

We know that a portion of Durham's most compelling event programming has remained virtual or hybrid in formatting. At this time, we are still accepting Durham-based virtual or hybrid events that might draw regional or national attention. We are not presently publishing virtual classes or other more localized online events.
