Was there to see some bands a few weeks ago. Great place/location. Good size to see music. Good beer menu with Polish beers too! Would recommend to the owners to install some sound panels to reduce the high frequency bouncing/volume from the brick surfaces, raise the stage another foot or two (it was hard to see from anywhere in the audience) and maybe have three bartenders during the busiest times. Would have bought more drinks but the wait wasn’t worth it (bartenders were hustling though!).

I really wanted to love this venue, but the experience raised significant concerns around staffing, accessibility, and overall guest safety.

From the start, the space felt understaffed for the size of the crowd. The bar struggled to keep up throughout the night — service moved slowly, drinks were initially being served in very small cups, and items repeatedly ran out. One bartender was clearly experienced and working hard to keep things moving, while another appeared disengaged and at times borderline rude, which added to already long wait times. I used the bathroom once and there was no toilet paper, reinforcing the sense that operations were stretched too thin across the venue.

My biggest concern was accessibility. The stage had no visible ramp or designated entry or exit — only a drop-off. For an interactive event where guests are encouraged to participate on stage, this felt like a serious oversight. The only way I was able to participate was for other guests to physically lift me onto the stage, which felt unsafe for everyone involved. Accessibility should never depend on strangers improvising solutions.

Beyond disability access, the setup created safety risks for everyone present. Guests who had been drinking were climbing onto and off an elevated stage without supervision or clear guidance. If a safe pathway existed, it was never communicated. When I asked how to safely get down, the DJ could not provide direction and appeared unconcerned. Combined with the lack of stage monitoring, this felt like an accident waiting to happen.

I was equally concerned by the lack of visible security measures. In today’s environment, not having bag checks or a clear security presence at a crowded, high-energy event felt unsettling.

I did appreciate that there was a seating area, but unfortunately you couldn’t actually see the stage from there. If this had been a traditional musical performance, guests needing or preferring to sit would not have been able to observe the show at all. Accessibility barriers showed up repeatedly throughout the night, and taken together, the experience felt ableist in practice — even if unintentionally so.

Maybe the venue is still working through growing pains, but interactive events require intentional planning around staffing, accessibility, and safety. Until those issues are addressed, I would personally choose a venue like Motorco again for a similar event.

Dope venue. Sound system is the best I’ve heard in the area. Saw a band play here that I saw 2 weeks previously and it was unmatched. I’m also a fan on the origin of the venue name… we’re all just clowns 🤡 !! Feels very postmodern.
