This store is very organized and clean! The staff is always so sweet and helpful. MODE sells high end designers AND quality name brands at really affordable prices.

I've habitually shopped thrift and consignment for many years, and since moving to NC I've struggled to find consignment shops that ACTUALLY carry "designer" brands. Too often does a shop claim to carry prestige brands, only to carry mid-price, middling quality, and even that inconsistently. I love me some J Crew and H&M, but they are not high end.
There are a few resale stores that carry great clothes for the younger crowd, but even as a middle aged woman without a stodgy style, I still needed something a little more...gathered.
So grateful to have found Mode! It's a bit of a hike for me and totally worth it. The space is clean and well cared for, the employees are lovely and happy to explain or help you, and the inventory is exactly what I've been hoping for. High end clothing in great condition, and not outrageously close to original retail prices - in fact, very reasonable for what they have!
If I'm not careful, I'll never leave without spending what I've earned by selling with them....

Went here for the first time today and it was great! The staff is all so nice & welcoming. They helped me when choosing an item & will definitely be coming back!

Super nice consignment shop, with a variety of categories and price range all neatly arranged. They have daily sales, which is nice but I of course found something not part of it 🙃

I came to this store recently I did not know it existed in downtown Durham but it was a very nice experience to be welcomed into it by a very nice staff member. She explained me about the items on the store and I was amazed by the variety of clothing brands they have. After a walk around it I saw different cool items but I was running out of free time and I left. Next day I went back and purchased a very unique color designer purse. I am very particular to what I like and at this store I found something that meet my expectations. Thank you!

I HATE shopping, but Ariel at MODE makes it fun and takes the guesswork out of it for me. She's the reason I went to MODE today to shop for a lifestyle photo shoot coming up for my business, and I had no idea what to wear. Ariel understood the assignment. She picked clothes that I wouldn't have, but her style is better than mine. Protip from Ariel, try on everything you like, despite what the manufacturer's tagged size is. I bought clothes from size small to large and size 8-12. Ariel was there to tell me if something fit well or didn't. I've always just tried on what I thought my size was. Who knew! I ended up buying more clothes than I had planned to because she made the experience painless.

What a great shop! If I lived closer, I'd be here pretty often - I like the mix of designer goods and accessible fashion.
