Some scenes feel like they were built overnight. Durham's wasn't. What has grown here over the past two decades, especially in metal and hip hop, is the product of bands and crews who kept showing up, playing basements, bars, parking lots, and built something that didn't need outside validation to exist. Genuine Durham is a celebration of that. A night that brings the two loudest, most uncompromising corners of this city's underground onto the same stage. Presented by Morning Choir & 2DEADCREW. Stanczyk's Music Bar, 1007 W. Main St, Durham, NC. Doors 7pm, show 8pm. Ages 18+. $20 advance / $25 day of show.
