Whether you’re visiting DPAC for a show, catching a Durham Bulls game, or taking in the downtown vibe, we are located in the heart of all the action Downtown Durham has to offer. Come experience the Aloft Durham Downtown.
Eli and his staff were all amazing. This Marriott is one of the fancier ones I've been to. The lobby itself is a lounge, pool table, bar, restaurant. Pool and fitness center is on the second and third floor and beautiful view of downtown and the bulls stadium from the pool. I only wish I could've stayed longer. The rooms are beautifully set up. A must if you're visiting Durham. Tell Eli I said hello 🤗

Recently remodeled. Liked it better before. TVs in room had very very limited channels which were incredibly slow to load. No apps and no ability to connect external devices to watch Amazon, Netflix, etc. Was stuck watching one of 12 channels during stay. My room had no hand towels or hand soap. Offered complimentary water bottle for the first night despite my 5 day stay. Location is perfect. Bar stays open late. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious.

A nice hotel in a loud area but that's not the hotels fault. Pool and gym facilities are a bit small.
Staff were very attentive and welcomed me in everyday, the only thing being that they didn't replace the water in the room despite being there for 2 weeks.

We will never forget the friendly and helpful service that we received at the aloft hotel in downtown Durham for our baby shower! It was a baby shower to remember! The space was beautiful and spacious!

Honestly it’s was a good stay, we came for a concert that was conveniently located adjacent to the hotel at the Durham Preforming art center. I was able to the teens go alone to the concert while I enjoyed the quiet hotel room. Checkin was smooth with John up front, parking was $15 a night in the garage next door, although it was cheaper to get even parking for $10 in the same garage. The hotel is located walking distance from many good restaurants. It had cool comfy lobby area with games and a bar. The breakfast was okay, not included but reasonably priced.
My only complaint is that there is train that passes by that is really really loud.

I recently stayed at Aloft Durham Downtown connected to DPAC for a performance of MJ The Musical, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel's convenience, being attached to the Durham Performing Arts Center, was a major plus. The cleanliness was commendable, and the small grocery shopping area offered a great selection for meals and snacks. The full bar, well-decorated lobby with billiards and games, added to the enjoyable atmosphere. The second-floor view and pool were highlights, making it a delightful stay. I would enthusiastically choose this hotel again in the future.
