The Streets at Southpoint
Phone: (919) 572-8800
A shopping and dining destination located at the intersection of Interstate 40 and Fayetteville Road, The Streets at Southpoint is a mall that’s as much fun to explore outdoors as it is inside. Designed with an old-fashioned Main Street concept in mind, the A.R.T. Design group created 23 bronze statues of children playing. Found throughout the mall, one of the better-known bronze statues depicts children playing in a water fountain outside the Southpoint Boulevard entrance. As you shop the national brands you love and local shops, look for the vintage-inspired murals that adorn the brick façade conveying old-timey advertisements. A movie theater and numerous eateries make Southpoint a perfect spot for shopping, dining and entertainment.

It's a indoor and outdoor mall. Very beautiful, plenty of parking! There is a small playground area in the mall so kids can play. The stores inside are kind of high end. Small food court but definitely this mall is worth checking out! -
It's good to see that malls are still a viable business! This one is a pretty expansive one that also has a large outdoor walking section with much bigger shops to go with it! A decent children's play area, large brand name stores at each entrance like you would expect, and a food court with a varied list of options are also highlights of this place! -
This is a good mall that has the basics. We primarily went there for to visit Macy's and Sephora, but also made purchases at Williams Sonoma.
Not to be a snob, but having lived in major cities across the country, I am used to high-end malls. I took off one point because this mall seems a little dated; otherwise, they have some good stores and everyone we encountered were very kind and professional. -
Love this mall; it's spacious, clean, and has an excellent mix of stores. The outdoor section with restaurants is really nice, especially in the evening. Great date night options nearby. Nordstrom and the anchor stores are solid, plus they keep getting new shops. The layout makes sense and it never feels too cramped. Parking is easy. Technically in Durham but right on the Raleigh border. One of the best shopping spots in the Triangle. -
Really not cool that Southpoint is slowly becoming a hub for the ultra-wealthy here in Durham. Fazing out accessible and local stores in favor of luxury brands that only.01% of Durham residents can actually afford... Not cute! It's also really not cute that you are refusing to renew the leases for very successful local stores such as Ultimate Comics so that you can move in more "tasteful" (expensive) brands... This mall is genuinely becoming unbearable to visit, and there's nothing really worth shopping for here unless you have thousands to spend on marked up garbage with name recognition... All that combined with the increased police presence, it's really sending the message that the Common People of the triangle are not welcome here.
