If you haven't stopped into Casa Bella Market in Patterson Place, in Durham, hurry over and TREAT YOURSELF! Sara Mannone has created an oasis of sensory delights & beautiful things, almost all of them made by local area artists and craftspeople. I am so proud to have Horse & Crow Studio's botanical prints there in such gorgeous surroundings and good company. Frivolous and fancy, soothing and serene, playful and practical -- there's a little of everything at Casa Bella!

Lovely store! I'm always looking for places to get local and handmade gifts. They carry an excellent collection of locally made as well as vintage items. I appreciate their commitment to sustainability. If you like to supporting local businesses this is the place to shop!

LOVE Casa Bella Market!! It’s my go to store for EVERYTHING - speaker gifts, bday gifts, sympathy gifts, Mother’s Day gifts, and more! Even picked up a lamp and a piece of art that really completed our den:). Love that everything is ethically sourced - and appreciate all the NC made items! Casa Bella is a hidden gem! And the lovely store owner is never too busy to help you find the pet item and will even ship it for you for free! We are so lucky to have a store like this in Durham - and affordable too!! This store has become my favorite place for a gift, a new little something artsy for my home, or inspiration for decorating. Very unique blend of new and upcycled items - you can see that merchandise is well curated. The store has great energy, too - with the classes, artist/product features and mix of kid/pet/hometown pride/local artisans and sprinkle of attention to sustainability - there just isn’t another shop like Casa Bella. And the owner is so nice. The only problem is that I want one of everything…

I always enjoy stopping at Casa Bella Market. The store has fantastic gifts, unique vintage pieces and beautifully curated home decor. I know I’ll always find something that I didn’t know I would need but can no longer live without! Friendly staff and a spacious store make browsing a pleasure!

As someone who tries to buy local whenever possible and to support small businesses, I was excited when I found this store when I was out and about. I even made the decision before I entered (as I usually do when finding new stores) that I would find something to buy to support this women-owned boutique.
Upon entering my excitement was quickly squashed as I felt unwelcomed upon entering. On a day and time when I was the only shopper in the store, I was hoping to have a friendly greeting and/or invitation to browse the store. I believe that there can be also nonverbal ways to show that someone is inviting you into their space and I felt none of it. Even upon check-out there was no warmth as the woman (likely owner) searched for my items/item code in the computer (which took several minutes).
The generous 3 star rating is due only to the fact the store has unique items all from local artists and vendors. I don't regret my purchase but this will be some place that I most likely won't return to or recommend to others. Despite somehow being added to the e-mail list (didn't explicitly sign up by writing my contact info on the clipboard at the register) - even the coupon sent a few days later does not make up for the unwelcomed feeling in the establishment that has stayed with me.
I have come to appreciate the personalized service that only a small business can provide. I will still continue to buy local but only at stores and with vendors who understand the importance of building rapport and recognize that what you say is as important as what you don't say.

Casa Bella is such a fantastic shop featuring home products from local artists and artisans, instructional craft classes including painting and pottery, and other fun events like whiskey and wine tasting. This is my go to shop when I need something special for my house. Highly recommend!
