What an amazing shop!
The emphasis on locally produced items was wonderful to see as a local. I loved the atmosphere inside, the music was relaxing as calm, and the layout was an enjoyable journey through a wonderful selection of items.
The owner is absolutely lovely! Very kind and welcoming, hopefully you get to meet Indy too 🐶 -
I just discovered this amazing place. A combination of new, mostly local (with good choices) and vintage finds. Great for gifts and not your typical Made in China schlocky "gift" store. Very reasonably priced. Neat and organized. Shop small. Should be in downtown Durham, hope more people find it. Go! You will be glad you did. -
My favorite independent store. I am always inspired when I visit Casa Bella. No matter the occasion or the person I need a gift for, I always find something here (as well as gifts for myself!). I am so pleased the store's focus is promoting local artists. What I admire the most is the variety of pricing; something is available for everyone's budget. I also love the classes they host. I just took an "intro to Mahjong" class and had a great time. A special part of my frequent visits is when Indy, the beautiful shop greeter dog is on duty. If you have not visited this store before, you must put this at the top of your list. It's a treasure trove of beauty and whimsy, all curated by a lovely owner. The picture shows items all purchased at Casa Bella for a hostess gift for a tea lover. -
This is a hidden gem in Durham carrying unique items made locally, supporting 50+ local artisans. Sara is welcoming and has curated a blend of items for you, your home or a loved one. I especially like the Durham-themed items and funny stickers but she offers artwork and flavored olive oils, too. You can even order corporate gifts that fit any budget. -
Great space filled with local gems! Food, felt flower bouquets, jewelry, and a vintage section. With many other amazing things! Be sure to check this space out. They also host events: mahjong classes, candle making, etc
