The Carolina Theater Durham provides us with a range of entertainment that is not matched within date night driving distance. Everyone on staff is there because they wish to be, which comes through in their interactions. Fresh popped popcorn is another calling card. Look for the festivals, and the retro film series to fill in this you'd missed in the past or wish to enjoy again. Live Theater performances are what started my original attraction. The actress and shows have upheld the integrity of the arts.

Beautiful Theater, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. I only wished the live orquesta would be visible, but I understand the reason why they weren’t. I went to see the Swan Lake and it was worth every penny, will definitely be coming back. -
The Carolina Theater was a marvelous venue in which to see Snarky Puppy for the first time live. The venue was clean and the balcony tables were amazing. Champaign for the show and a great view. -
First of all, We love Carolina Theatre in Durham. We have seen many great shows there without disappointment. When possible, we like to sit in the orchestra pit mainly because we are both visually challenged. Last night’s show was completely different. It was so loud that we actually got up and left after the first set. I don't know who was controlling the sound but it was so loud that we couldn't understand anything that the band was singing.
Almost deafening. I'm sure we weren't the only ones that felt this way as I saw others leaving as well.
I feel that this could have been easily corrected without offending anyone. Please do better in this regard. -
Melissa Etheridge!!! What a fantastic concert!!! Her music is great and always has been. Her recorded music is always top notch. However seeing Melissa and her band live is an experience that should not be missed. They put it all out there for the audience to not just listen too but absorb and feel. Melissa is one of the few performers whose live concerts are better than the already excellent recordings.
