I believe this was one of the best Target stores that I have ever visited!! They had an exceptional grocery selection with many organic or non-ultraprocessed food choices. It also has an Ulta inside as well as a CVS drug store. I was able to do much of my shopping in one location or store. I really can't say enough good things about the grocery selection at this store. I was 150 miles from home, or I'd shop here weekly. Also, I thought the staff were very nice and helpful here. Thank you Target! -
This is the 2nd worst Target I shop at. The place is always disorganized and consistently low on staple item inventory (today it was jeans 32/30). When I go to Target while traveling to FL and OH, the stores and well-stocked, clean and organized. One would think Target would want to provide a pleasant shopping environment where customers would want to spend more time and money instead of trying to get the heck out of there.
I think it’s a staffing problem - hire more people! And, don’t tell me you can’t afford it with $23 billion - that’s BILLION in net profit in just Q3 2025. And the Executive team each making $10m+.
Come on Target, do better.
2/24/26 Visit:
Had to make a return of something that didn’t fit. The returns representative was amazing - friendly, happy, kind. The returns representative was easy.
But…
I bought a few things too. There is the long long long bank of registers at the front of the store. Only self checkout was open. All self checkout are at one side of the register bank. No other register open at other end so you have to walk past ~15 registers to the opposite end of the store from which I am parked to self checkout, then walk all the way back, past those same 15+ registers. Got some steps in I guess.
Oh, yes, place still a disaster even at 9:15am. -
Target located in Renaissance Village shopping Center at 8210 Renaissance Pkwy, Durham, NC 27713 is a very nicely laid out Target with a quite large Grocery store section with dairy a plenty. The store was clean and well organized. Didn’t seem to me to be as much of a maze as some targets are where it’s really easy to get disoriented due to the walls blocking areas from each other.
A big issue I have with them though is only having a single in person register open combined with a 10 item max self checkout limit.
I don’t use self checkout as it’s not my job to check myself out, and it costs them employees!!! Lost a star for that -
I absolutely love my local Target on Renaissance Parkway and visit 2-4 times a week because of the amazing staff, great selection, and positive energy. I moved from Ohio to NC and chose this Target over 2 other ones close-ish to me because everyone there - from managers to cashiers to cart collectors - genuinely care about customers and go above and beyond to help solve problems. It's a crazy world, but they've still found a way to make shopping special. When it comes to shopping, this is my happy place. -
One of the largest and most up to date Targets I've ever visited. They have a huge selection of groceries, home goods, clothing, toys, electronics, pharmacy, and so much more! As always, you can expect above average quality and lower than average prices on most items. This is truly a one stop shopping destination. They even have medical wellness clinic, Starbucks, cafe with seating area, and optical center. I'm not sure what more you could want from any shopping destination. Highly recommended.
