Merle Norman Cosmetics in Durham, NC is an absolute gem. Nancy Brown (owner) and her “Merle girls” (staff) have been fantastic over the years, consistently delivering exceptional customer service and true professionalism. The store offers a unique and eclectic selection of products—many of which you’d never expect to find in a cosmetic store. Every visit is a great experience, and I always feel well taken care of. I highly recommend this owner and this make up store to anyone. If you want to look and feel beautiful, just go see the girls at Merle Norman in Durham NC.

As a person who never wore makeup or washed her face I have become a believer. Nancy took the time to show me how to apply makeup, what colors work best, and a skin care routine. After just two months people have been commenting on how great my skin looks and how put together I am. I look forward to washing my face and putting on makeup every day.
Nancy also pierced my daughter’s ears and they look wonderful. She was great with her allowed us to cry/put on make up/and color. We signed my daughter up for dance and I will have Nancy and girls show us how to apply makeup for her. I am a firm believer in shopping small business and this store has a little bit of everything!

My friend and I had a wonderful experience with two very helpful women, one who was the owner. They were busy with several customers, but took time to be gracious to all of us.It was clear they know their products well. A bonus was comfy summery apparel on sale. We’ll be back!

The struggle is real at 55 and keeping up on our skin. I was well over due some extra help and Nancy and Shelby have put me on a great path. I am super impressed with my new foundation and the color match. I will be back soon to get some additional products. The only reason I did not already buy is because I want to finish up current products I am changing from but still have some to use up. The store is welcoming and the service is genuine. Lots of beautiful merchandise and clothing. Ladies stop by you won't be disappointed.
