From the moment you walk into this bakery, you can feel the warmth and high quality. Gladys, the owner, is truly amazing—her hospitality is absolutely top-notch. She welcomed me and my mother with so much kindness, and it made our visit extra special.
The pastries are incredible! You can tell they’re made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and everything tastes delicious. The entire place is spotless, inviting, and beautifully maintained.
I highly recommend this bakery. Not only is the environment clean and welcoming, but Gladys herself is such a wonderful lady. Thank you, Gladys, for receiving us with so much love. We enjoyed our visit and definitely plan to come again!

This small bakery is so nice!! Amazing, A1 customer service from start to finish. It was myself and my kids first time coming here. The line of treats looked too good to eat. My girls got a red velvet slice of cake and I got a slice of chocolate cake. My son isn't a sweet eater and tried to let him taste something, it was a no go. But they were so sweet and gave us a cinnamon roll for free. My son tried the cinnamon and my cake and he's in love now. The cake slices are a nice size that I ate half one day and the rest the next (finishing it up as im writingthis review 🤗). Great service, great treats, and great prices. I can't wait to go back and try something new!

I am so glad that I found Sunflower Basket today! The service was phenomenal and there were so many choices of the well-deserved sweet treat after a flu shot at CVS the building over. It’s just too convenient! The coffee is so so good and I will absolutely be back.

So glad we discovered this SunFlower Bakery Latin bakery next to the RTP in Durham .. They have so many delicious choices, it's hard to pick just a few. We loved the guava-filled puff pastry, Milhojas the Amazing Quesitos and Coñoncitos from Argentina. Don't forget to grab some Tres Leched , cookies, and even Alfajores! We'll definitely be back for more. Best Bakery in Raleigh Durham and owner Gladis was pleasant and joyful!

I love the fact that they sell pastries of different countries. The pastelitos de guava y queso are divine. The salporas de arroz (rice cookies) very soft perfect to dip in tea, coffee, milk etc. The apple turnovers are very soft and flavorful. The Salvadorean pastelitos with pineapple are delicious. The cinnamon roll with cream cheese are on point, they did not disappoint. This bakery is one that you dont want to miss! All their pastries are delicious! The owner and workers are very welcoming the second I walked in they offered help and took their time answering my questions and explaining each item. The owner/baker mentioned the bakery rotates pastries so if you don't see one it's best to ask, this is great because they are able to accommodate special orders with ahead of time. I am planning to return and place my special order. Don't skip this hidden gem it's worth it 😎💯💙

I went there yesterday since it was on the way to a friends place, I had no idea it was an El Salvadoran bakery. I’ve been to many bakeries all around the country and the world, this place has some of the best stuff I have ever had, my friends and I demolished the box of goodies I brought over. The quesitos were masterfully flakey, soft, sweet but not too sweet.
Recomiendo a cualquiera para probar esta panadería, tu vida sería mas dulce después.

As someone who is not a cake person, Sunflower Bakery has the most delicious red velvet cake I’ve ever tasted. Sometimes we just order cake for fun, even when there’s no event! Great customer service, great quality and looking cakes! Highly recommend!

10/10 High recommend!! The pricing was great, the customer was awesome too! We needed a last minute cake for my mom’s birthday and Dani helped make it happen! They made a delicious Cannoli cake with toasted almonds! Everyone loved it! My mother wants more for sure so we will be back soon. If you have not tried this bakery, please do! The shop was cute too! Good job!

Was in the mood for something sweet and found this local bakery down the road from where I was. They have a wonderful selection of pastries and cakes! I enjoyed a strawberry and cheese pastry and a blueberry and cheese pastry both delicious made with a light flaky crust! Highly recommend so check them and let's support our local businesses!

I did a fairly decent research to find a custom cake for my wife who was celebrating her 60th birthday. This was a very special moment for us and I really wanted to do something different from what I normally do. Obviously taste and quality is always at the top of the list, but ordering a custom design cake suggests going for the "WOW" factor to say the least. I am hoping Dani see's this review and grows from it. This is a wonderful family owned Bakery and everything I've purchased was absolutely delicious! Dani was super pleasant and very helpful. The bakery was very clean and had a wonderful welcoming feel when first walking in. I initially reached out to Dani on their Instagram page and asked if they could make a custom cake in the time that I needed, they absolutely did. I looked at the cake menu and decided on a white cake with flan filling because my wife absolutely loves flan. I was so excited. What really got me excited was when I saw a cake they made for a woman celebrating her 92nd birthday I thought, this is the perfect design and this is what I wanted for my wife. The theme was "Chanel" and since my wife loves Chanel perfume, shoes and really loves handbags, I thought it would be great to incorporate those things in the cakes design. I had no budget on what I wanted to spend. I only wanted this cake to look amazing, which unfortunately, for what this cake cost it did not! I have to take part in this because maybe I didn't ask the right questions and my expectations were unrealistic as to what this bakery was capable of, so having said that, if you are going to order a similar cake, it would be wise to lay out your expectations and discuss in details before making a choice.

We ordered a cake for a baby shower from Sunflower and were truly impressed by the service (timely, great communication) and the cake itself (aesthetics—it was beautiful and taste). It was one of the most delicious cakes I’ve ever eaten. Neither too sweet nor too heavy—it was light, fluffy and just the right level of sweetness.
Dani recommended the tres leches filling—a flavor we hadn’t tried before, but we trusted her instincts and she definitely didn’t steer us wrong. The yellow cake, tres leches filling and vanilla icing were truly a phenomenal combo. We enjoyed the cake at the shower then brought the leftovers to another function the next day and the group effectively finished it off. Everyone was commenting about how delicious it was. And it looked beautiful too. We will certainly order cakes from Dani and her mom at Sunflower in the future!

I'm the lucky recipient of a birthday cake from this bakery! It was perfect! We had enough for everyone and then some. And I imagine the request was out there - make it look like black dragon scales. The photos don't do it justice. There was a lovely shimmer. And it tasted divine!

I'm so glad my sister found this shop! They did such an amazing job for my sister's cake for her baby shower and bringing her vision to life. The staff is kind, professional and they helped to make this a pleasant experience. I see why my sister loves to get her cakes from here!

The staff and owners could not have been any nicer and I would highly recommend stopping in! Great descriptions of all of their baked goods, coffee was excellent and everything we tried was awesome! We did not try any of the cakes this time but if you're in need of a birthday cake for a special occasion look them up!!!
