Daughters Coffee and Books is adorable!
📚 There’s a great selection of pre-loved & new books, including children’s books, and a cozy kid’s corner.
☕️ Great coffee & tea, featuring Carrboro Coffee Roasters.
🗺️ Located in Durham, near the intersection of 55 & 54. Plenty of parking!
👍 This is a lovely addition to the Triangle area’s book & coffee scene. -
As a big reader and coffee lover this spot is my heaven. Daughters, while small, has a good selection of books across all genres and I always find something! They also have a lot of cute bookish merch and trinkets that rotate. The coffee shop portion is fantastic with an extensive menu. The beverages I have gotten are always so good and I love the seasonal rotation. They have lots of tables to sit at and it’s a great atmosphere. I also like the various book club and events they host.
Perfect for grabbing a great book and a beverage and enjoying some time reading or catching up with a friend! -
First off, thank you ERIN! I wouldn’t have never known about this place if she didn’t tell us about it. Her service is amazing and she is so nice! But secondly OMG THAT BLUEBERRY COLD FOAM. It’s amazing and I already want another one. Thank you guys :) my daughter loved her decaf coffee also! -
I’m so glad I discovered Daughters Coffee & Books after I took my dog to nearby Quartet Veterinary Specialty Hospital. What started as a quick stop for coffee turned into two visits in two days.
This little shop is exactly the kind of local business I love to find. It’s part coffee shop, part independent bookstore, with a thoughtfully curated mix of new and used books, pastries, gifts, stickers, and other fun finds. I ended up leaving with coffee and a pastry both days, and, of course, a few books.
What also stood out were the people working there. The staff was genuinely kind and welcoming both times I visited, which made an already cozy place feel even more special. During a stressful couple of days involving our sweet dog facing surgery, it was a comforting place to spend some time.
If it were closer to home, I’d become a regular. I can’t wait for my next excuse to visit. -
Great place! So many classic and new creative drink options to choose from. The books & trinkets are cool too. Love the team with other local businesses like ninth street bakery.
