There’s a new vegan restaurant in town and the food is purely delicious to the soul. Located on Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., the restaurant has a huge covered patio that is overflowing with plants and flowers.

I’m so happy we decided to check this place out. My husband doesn’t typically eat vegan food, but we wanted to try something new. The food was so flavorful, made with fresh ingredients, and perfectly hot in temperature when we received it (I strongly dislike when my food is lukewarm). Can’t wait to show this place to friends and family when they come to visit. -
Every time I come to the area, it’s a must that I stop by Pure Soul in Durham. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. I had the chicken poppers with the Bilbo greens, mac n cheese, cornbread and blueberry ginger lemonade. And I had to grab a sweet potato honey bun cake. They always deliver on the taste.

Delicious vegan food overall. There were so many options to choose from and I will definitely be back to try what I couldn't concur today! Staff was nice, helpful and attentive. I also received a free dessert for it being my first time!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! My husband and I tried Pure Soul for the first time this weekend, and I can confidently say that the place is aptly named. This isn't just a resturant. It's a unique experience with SOUL.
From the moment we pulled up, we were impressed. The patio is lovely and the indoor space is eclectic and fun with live plants growing everywhere.
Ace, who took our order, was so knowledgeable and had such great suggestions. I ended up ordering the Sunday Biscuit with a Hot Hunty Chicken Patty and bacon. My husband got the Ralphie Boy with mac and cheese and potato salad. We both had sweet tea to drink, which Ace kindly comped for us since it was our first time trying Pure Soul (thank you, Ace!).
Absolutely everything we ate was so unbelievably good. I couldn't believe it was all vegan. My biscuit was flavorful and rich and had just the right mouth-feel, and my husband's mac and cheese was seasoned to perfection and the highlight of his meal. Just look at the photos to see for yourself how amazing this food was!
At the end of our meal, we had a chance to ask about the products and cooking process for the food, and learned that they buy base ingredients from local suppliers and CREATE all of this delicious food in house!! No pre-made frozen patties here.
We were so pleased with our experience at Pure Soul. I can't wait to return soon! -
This is easily a 4.5 star spot but yelp won’t let us do halves.
Great attentive and helpful staff with plenty of options to choose from to curate your own plate. Our son had the kids impossible burger and mac n cheese. My wife had the Soul Rolls and I had the bbq (vinegar based) plate with slaw, mac and cheese and greens. We also had 2 drumsticks.
The kids plate was devoured quickly- the burger is slider-sized and comes with onion, tomato, lettuce and pickles on the side (surprisingly the veggies were untouched but I claimed the pickles). My wife said the Soul Rolls were a 10/10- crispy eggrolls stuffed with mac, greens and sweet bbq protein. My plate was good too but I wish it came with bread instead of counting it as a side. Also wish it had a little sauce on the side. Greens were seasoned well and the mac was creamy.
Drumstick was amazing but a bit steep at 4 bucks each. Only criticism is that we wish the side portions were a little bigger for the price.
Still won’t stop us from returning in the future when in town!
