The clothes here tend to be slightly more curated and stylish than your average Goodwill, but as a few other reviews have mentioned...the prices are a major demerit for this store. I saw multiple articles from retailers such as Target, Old Navy, etc. priced at around ten dollars; that's maybe a couple dollars knocked off retail price, for USED clothing. I got annoyed when several items of clothing I loved were priced at nearly $20...at that point, might as well buy new or choose from a wider variety online. I also noticed that straight size or petite clothing seemed to be the worst offenders in this regard, which the more conspiratorial among you can hypothesize upon. My boyfriend suggested that some pieces were marked high by employees to dissuade shoppers, only to be snatched up by the workers when they were judiciously marked down...very Costanzaesque, but could be what's going on 👀

I used to love this place and still find awesome stuff there, especially nicer pieces and vintage. I even would tell people it was my favorite thrift store in Durham. But now I don't go as often because the prices have gotten completely insane. I'm talking Shein shirts priced higher than they would be brand new, $30 for a hideous Pendleton sweater with moth holes in it, $15 for a lot regular old pairs of pants, etc. Almost every time I go now I find stuff that I would buy if it were like 50% cheaper but leave empty handed because the prices annoy me so much. As a former thrift store clothes pricer and processor I have no idea why this happened at this store but in my professional opinion it's not justified. Just go to Rumors or shop on Depop - both have cuter pieces on average and are cheaper.

I love the ease of donating here! I feel like the stock is hit or miss, but that is true for most thrift stores. I do feel that the clothes are overpriced for what they are and that has stopped me from buying several items from them (ie a $14 graphic tshirt). The home section usually has some good finds and is organized well.
