We’ve been a long time customer for 18 years. Excellent products & customer service! Our yard looks beautiful with fresh mulch and the nutrient rich compost helps our lawn & garden thrive. Love the family, small business atmosphere. Highly Recommend The Rock Shop!

I had a truly fantastic experience using the Rock Shop for all our needs to make some changes to the landscape. Our goal was drying out a swampy yard. We rented the tractor with backhoe- prompt delivery at the best price in town. We needed deliveries of 3 different sized rock plus a topsoil blend to cap it off. Great communication with Emily and Melissa at the shop and then deliveries by the best driver in town Jimmy! If I had to start all over again the only thing I would change was my wasted prep time looking around at the delivery and rental options- I’d just come straight to the Rock Shop.

Super-pleasant order with delivery from the Rock Shop! Got 15 cubic yards of compost delivered in way-North Durham. Placed my order last week over the phone and it was delivered right on time today - they gave me a 2 hour window. Didn't even notice the driver had arrived until my dog let out a little bark -- the driver (sorry, didn't catch his name) had backed up perfectly to my tarped-off spot and expertly unloaded the full truck exactly where I wanted it. Looks to be fairly fine compost -- I'm using it in my raised garden beds and doesn't look like I'll have to screen it too much. Total order with delivery, taxes, came to $720. Will definitely order from them again next year!

Stopped by on a Saturday to see gravel choices in person. Prices have increased (due to inflation?) And arent yet reflected on the website. The representative was very kind and helpful. Glad we asked about our needs and costs.

I don't normally review negatively but this problem has been and will continue to be very expensive: I put their compost in newly built garden beds and every last plant in those beds got brown spot, whereas the plants in the more established beds where I did not add their compost have been growing happily. At this point I'm worried that I'll never be able to use the beds where I put their compost even after overwintering. I'm pretty heartbroken since there are kitchen garden beds and I'm trying to use them to supplement household produce over time and now it looks like I have wasted thousands of dollars.
