Honeygirl Meadery got a major “glow up” at the end of 2024 by moving and expanding their facilities and offerings under new parent name: Ment Beverage Co. Along with continuing to craft the Honeygirl meads you know and love, the expansion allows them to bring even more tasty sips to the table, including cider, beer, sake, Delta 9 drinks and non-alcoholic options. The sake is the first produced in Durham and is made with rice grown in Eastern NC. You’ll find Ment’s new digs and tasting room at American Tobacco Campus in the heart of Durham’s social district. They have indoor and patio seating, games, a retail section, and regularly host fun events.

Lovely mead to drink or take away. Lots to try and they do flights. Lots of non alcoholic options too. They also sell some local honey.
Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff who are super passionate about what they do!
If you’re in the tobacco campus drop in! They sell bottles of you can’t stay. -
Ment Beverage Co./Honeygirl Meadery is open at American Tobacco Campus. It’s a cool place with a chill vide. Many flavors of mead, but beer and cocktails are also available. Just locate the smokestack alley and walk along the lower level of the building next to the iconic train car and ‘cage’ basketball court. Photo of the area uploaded. -
Great place! Great selection of meads, ciders, and even two sakes made with local rice. The meads are on the more dry to off dry on average, same with the ciders. They have a couple on the sweeter side that are also great.
The sake was incredible. It had a well balanced flavor rounding out with an incredible savory flavor.
The owner was working when I was there and he's super nice! It was awesome bring able to talk brewing, as I'm a homebrewer myself. -
Stopped I’m here while I was waiting for my bus. Bartenders Lauren and Lydia were friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions about the extensive mead options on tap and were friendly and patient. I ordered the flight and really enjoyed my sweet little drinks. You have to try the lavender blueberry. Also definitely a safe space for queer folks. Would recommend highly. -
Folks, staff and patrons, are super friendly. Cider and mead flights are a great way to dip your toes in those experiences.
