Burt's Bees Cabin
Overview
A fun attraction on the American Tobacco Campus, find a cedar shake cabin that serves as a historic monument to the creator of one of America's greatest brands. The cabin of Burt's Bees founder Burt Shavitz, relocated from his beloved Maine, marks the entrance to the company's global headquarters today. Find Burt's Bees products at shops around Durham, while spending time looking at preserved artifacts in the cabin and a buzzing beehive that's available for observation during warmer months besides the front door. There's a mural on the side of the building parallel to the parking deck, as part of a series of murals across the country that represent the number of honeybees needed (50,000) to sustain a healthy hive.

Until you read the sign it’s just a Cute cabin on an amazing complex called American Tobacco in front of Burt’s Bees offices. Turns out it’s Burt’s actual cabin! Fun picture spot. -
If you're in the area, it's worth a stop here to peek inside Burt's cabin (plus, it makes for a fun bit of trivia!). Be sure to turn around and say hello to the bees while you're here. -
Cute little cabin right next to the Burt’s Bees HQ and the American Tobacco campus. You can’t really enter the cabin as far as I can tell. You can get a good picture of the Lucky Strike Tower in the background from the cabin. Other than that, this is more like a 5-minute visit. -
It's a nice place to take a look.
However, very plan very short visit, as there is not much more than a small cabin you cannot get inside. -
This is a great addition to the American Tobacco Campus. They rarely offer tours but you can see a lot by peering in the windows.
