Little Homestead Farm began as a mother, Gina-Marie, deciding to make her own bath and body products in an effort to minimize her family's exposure to harsh chemicals. Fast forwarding to today, Gina-Marie sells homemade, non-toxic soaps, scents, body products and more from her East Durham shop. In addition to products, Little Homestead Farm also hosts classes where you can learn to make your own bath and body products.

I have been using natural handbags soaps for the last few years but had been buying my soap from a company in Canada. Then looking into buying a new supply, I saw the reviews for the new batches of soap from this small company were horrible and the soap was teeny and inferior quality. So I went into search mode for local handmade natural soap and I am so glad I came across Little Homestead Farm Natural Bath & Body. They are right down the street from Ideal's Sandwich and Grocery and next door to Bull City Sweet Shoppe. Cute store front and smells amazing in the store. Not the usual horrible bracing odors that I associate with Bath and Body Works or Yankee Candle Shop. Gina-Marie was busy making Bath bombs when I entered the store and was helpful and friendly. Lots of soap, bath bombs and scrubs are on sale as well as some beautiful wooden cutting boards. Make sure to turn into the parking lot that is on the side of the building by the Bull City Sweet Shoppe otherwise there is not really anywhere to park other than on a side street. Happy shopping and can't wait to try my soap. Go support this local business! -
I have been a customer at LHF for over a year and have enjoyed the high quality products I have bought for my friends and for me. Gina-Marie is warm, friendly, and helpful. The soaps are great, the lips scrub is exceptional, body butter is rich and nourishing, the dishwashing soap leaves dishes clean and fresh - I could go on. I like shopping at the store because of the variety and so I can chat with G-M. Definitely worth a visit. -
First off, very sweet person! Very welcoming and great hospitality. I have been here twice and both times have been very pleasant. I highly recommend the Sea Side Salt soap bar or anything from that line! Happy to support a small businesses:) -
I had the most wonderful experience yesterday after going on a bit of a hunt for homemade Local to Durham soaps! After going to quite a few places, another Durham local business, Chet Miller told me about Little Homestead Farm! As soon as I walked in, I knew that this was the right place! With the smell of menthol strong in the air, Gina-Marie pointed me in the right direction for some absolutely Gorgeous smelling Bull City Cider Soap, made out of cider brewed right here in Durham! I am packing them up to share with some clients of my husband out in California and I cannot wait for them to have a little piece of Home and heaven. -
This is my second order from Little Homestead Farm. I love almost all of their bar soaps! They smell amazing and leave you feeling clean. Love the free samples and handwritten thank you. Couldn’t ask for better products!! If you haven’t already, definitely check them out. You won’t be disappointed!
