Reasonably priced, clean, basic, simple, bug-free, old furniture, but maintained hotel. This hotel is huge with long corridors, undistinguishable except for the room number on the door, and so it may be hard to find your room. The rooms are essentially boxes lacking character. But the price is right for a one night stay. And given the reasonable price, it's understandable that the owners lack the revenue to improve the hotel to give it some pizazz. -
Convenient location off expressway with restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean but dated. Breakfast was limited in selection. The check in may have the worst we have experienced in more than 40 years of us checking in to hotels across the nation. The clerk was quite miserable. No mention on were the breakfast location was or times of the breakfast. No mention of WiFi information. No mention of how many room keys we wanted. This person kept blaming everything on the computer, when another person came to look at it.... suddenly it worked fine. While the check in line got longer, they kept answering the phone. Also, they said there was a $100 hold for incidentals that would take at least 7 business days to be refunded to our credit card. We have never had that much for that long even at 5 star hotels. But the thing that left the most sour taste was the rude and miserable check in clerk. Our next stay while on the road will not be at any comfort inn. -
Staff were nice and helpful, room cleaners seemed to be working very hard and for the most part the hotel was clean.
Both elevators stank to high heavens... like old bacteria laden mop bucket water.
We had a suite room and really liked the layout. The room smelled like stale cigarette smoke and had a feeling anywhere else we would have moved to would have as well.
First day the room was quite warm... 72 even though the thermostat was set on 64.
I looked around for the air intake and the filter was 100% clogged. I walked down to the front lobby to see if maintenance would replace/clean it or just give me one and I will replace it myself.
No maintenance folks on site, they had no idea if there were more filters there. I went back, removed it and washed it myself. It still took quite some time to get good AC... likely frozen up with the poor air flow.
Key card was a pain each time we used it... 3-6 attempts every time.
Vegetation has grown 2.5' into the walkway, front doors weren't working when we arrived, electrical tape over a hole on the elevator control, cracked mirror at the tub wall, glazing in the tub very cracked, and in general, this poor place needs a makeover and an in depth maintenance event.
Continental breakfast? Meh... some sausage was cooked hard on edges, waffle makers not working and I had to remove several potatoes from my mouth because I cant chew or even crack them.
I didn't look at crime reports in the area but when I see car window glass in the grass beside a parking spot I have to wonder.
I would have like to have taken the head off the smoke detector to see the manufacture date... it is either out of date or the cigarette smoke in the room stained it.
Let me reiterate, staff were ok... only reason we didn't leave but certainly will not stay there again. -
We stayed there for one night.
We took our son to the airport.
It’s about a 10 minute drive from RDU.
We chose the family suite. They had a conjoined room suite.
Both rooms were very spacious!
Both rooms smelled very clean. My family enjoyed the jetted tub in our room. Parking was good. Pool was a bit dirty on the bottom but it was still refreshing to enjoy.
Mr. William at the front desk was friendly and very nice.
Laundry room was clean but, it didn’t take quarters. Will need to download the app called air wallet. They have a sticker on the washer and dryer. It will cost you $2.25.
They do have a shuttle that take you the air port.
Overall, the hotel was great!
Would recommend it for a stay. -
I had a very disappointing experience. During our stay, my boyfriend’s phone was broken, and instead of taking responsibility and getting it repaired or replaced, management acted like offering a free night’s stay would make everything okay. A free night does not make up for damaged personal property. Housekeeping was hardly cleaning the rooms , even when it was asked to clean we had to wait another day and the bed was raggedy !
On top of that, there was a complete lack of communication. No one informed us that there was any issue, no one explained that anyone had been asked to leave, and no one told us we were being trespassed. Then, out of nowhere, the police showed up and told us we were trespassed. The entire situation was confusing, unprofessional, and could have been handled much better with honest communication.
I expected accountability and respectful customer service, but unfortunately, I received neither. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here.
