When did a house of worship become so easy to dishonor?? Somewhere, something at some point in time has gone horribly WRONG!!

Let me just say “I’m not a Durham native and hadn’t been to church in quite some time for personal reasons, yet please understand that God knows what your needs are before you even do! I recently relocated from another part of the city and landed less than a 1 minute walk around the corner. I realized that now’s the time to reintroduce myself to God but wait for it… The church I was raised up and in attendance by way of my mother carries the “EXACT” same name. Y’all got to see for yourself how God works and if you never try him out; that will be the very reason you don’t reach the potential “HE” knows you carry. I contemplated going, walked my dogs, even pushed through a few mini anxiety attacks. I saw that there were others still piling in and I said that’s it…I’m going kinda late too!
Allow me to show you how God does his thing… Upon entering, being welcomed in as it’s my first time there and I find a seat… the Pastor begins or shall I say continues with his sermon and I’ll be darned… his sermon was on Reintroducing oneself to God! I couldn’t keep a dry eye from the moment I sat down, ultimately filling my heart with making sure I did just that before walking out those doors. It’s not about what you have, have on, and or bring with you! God accepts you as you are where you are and so did this church!
I THANK YOU 🫴🏾 “ANTIOCH BAPTIST CHURCH” for being steps away so that I was able to rededicate my life to the one whom made it possible to even have and see it!
He’s not Burger King so it’s not about having it your way. God is good only if you allow him to be! He’s never late nor early but right on time; every time!! -
Very fine people and a wonderful church and helpful for those in need no matter what your creed or preferences in life maybe. They are kind and supportive and understanding and experienced in wisdom, age and philosophy. A wonderful wonderful experience!

Unfortunately, I was the presider at the homegoing service of one of the Trustees in our ministry. The services were rendered by Hanes Funeral Home located on Driver Street here in the city of Durham, NC. However, the church was accessible although on a busy thoroughfare (off Holloway Street and Guthrie Avenue),is very accommodating, the restrooms are spacious (ladies understand), the acoustics are great due to the high ceilings. If you are in the area and interested in locating a church to worship, I would recommend.

I watch on line every Sunday. Rev Page is a great pastor. I get fed the word of god each Sunday.
