A personal item was left behind in my room after checkout. I contacted the hotel several times requesting that staff check the room and return my call. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up.
Each time I called back, I was told by Ava and Natasha that there was no record of my previous calls and that nothing had been turned in to Lost and Found and that they would NOT be checking the room. When I was finally able to speak with Oscar, the Manager, there was also no follow-up despite his indication that he would look into the matter.
I was not only disappointed in the the item not being located, but also the total lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism that this staff demonstrated. Based on my previous experiences with Marriott properties, I expected a much higher standard of service and follow-through.
I hope Marriott Bonvoy will address this with the property team so that future guests do not have a similar experience. At this time, I do not plan to return to this hotel or recommend it to others. -
Delta Hotels is a Marriott property located in Durham at the Research Triangle Park. It was very close to I-40, so it was convenient, but not close enough to hear any traffic noise. I didn't hear airplanes either.
The hotel offers free parking and has a complimentary shuttle to the airport. The hotel was renovated in 2021 or 2022 when it became a Marriott property. So it has a modern style, with painted hardwood floors, clean lines, and an open shower. The room had a reusable carafe and hydration stations on every floor.
Check-in went smoothly and was pleasant. I was given a layout of the hotel. The fitness room is located on the 1st floor, and the Pantry on the 2nd. I was given a card with the location of things and how to connect to WIFI.
My room was clean. I checked the lotion bottle first thing, and this one was new, thankfully. The tv was a good sized and the remote control was in plastic to show it was disinfected. The tv had a lot of stations, I stopped scrolling at 100. My interest was in the March Madness games this time, but I like that there was variety. When the sun was up and light was coming in the big window, there was enough lighting. But I found it dark at night with no overhead lighting and shades on the lamps.
The shower was a walk-in without a door and was a good size. I would have liked more water pressure, but the temperature heated up quickly.
The hotel has a restaurant on site that I do not recommend, but if you are Platinum or above, there is a Pantry available on the second floor. It was kept well stocked during my stay with water, juice, soda, granola bars, chips, bagels, cereal, apples and a candy machine. The coffee maker was broken, though.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and would return. -
The hotel was clean and spacious but the stand out in this property are the employees. All were kind and attentive. One in particular Martice, he was the embodiment of customer service. He greeted us at check in with a kind smile and catered to our needs. In addition there was a health emergency in the lobby and watching him tend to the guest with care was a true lesson in kindness. This property is extremely lucky to have this young man.

The sink is small and so is the gym. If you're getting ready in the morning, you probably want to have a little bit more space in the bathroom. The gym has just the most basic options. The folks at the front desk are very hospitable.

My stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Raleigh-Durham at Research Triangle Park on Tatum Drive was a great experience. The hotel is modern, clean, and very comfortable, with well-appointed rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive, making check-in and the entire stay smooth and enjoyable. Its convenient location near RTP makes it perfect for both business and leisure travelers. I’d definitely stay here again.🧳💼👔
