We had a nice stay. Convenient to DPAC which is why we stayed. Room was clean, service was pretty good. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful service. We were on a 4 day road trip for work and arrived quite late at the hotel. The front desk was so welcoming and had everything ready for our meeting the next morning. The rooms are large and clean.

Nice room, great location... Tobacco Road sports bar across the street is pretty good and very convenient. Also.... if the Bulls are in town, the stadium is also right next door. Easy walk for a ball game, hot dog, and cold beer... do it- you will have fun

Was very nice but for the price I expected a little more. Rooms are very tall. Customer service was great!

Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was okay. There was one front desk employee who was super nice. He probably uses pro nouns he him her. Everyone else was okay but he actually took a moment to speak to me.

Went to the hotel bar after an event at DPAC. Waited 21 minutes in line for a drink....Maybe 5 sets of people were in front of us. Don't get me wrong the poor bartender was doing the best he could... He also had the people already sitting at the bar that he had to tend to. I can't believe that management didn't have more than one person working, especially knowing there is an event next door going on, and on a Saturday night!

Easy check-in, felt COVID safe, super friendly staff, very clean and pet friendly! We will definitely be planning all our future road trips around Aloft hotels since they are the best pet friendly hotels around!

Location was convenient and felt very safe in this space! Ronnie and Quita took great care of us and went out of their way to provide a safe and fun environment. I don't normally write reviews on hotels, but they deserve this shout out for being awesome!

Always enjoy staying at the Aloft. It's like bachelors pad vibe.

Hotel is really nice and clean. However....it's not the best hotel if you are a light sleeper. Loud and I mean LOUD trains come through at 1am, 5am, and 9am. It actually seems like the other is setting right on the tracks. Other than a sleepless night the hotel was great.

I booked this hotel last minute and got a great deal! I wasn’t expecting to have so much space for what the I paid! The room was big, the bathroom and shower were clean, and the location was so convenient. We walked to a some local bars and restaurants in just a few minutes!

I loved this hotel. Our room looked out over the baseball field and apartments in the old tobacco warehouses. They were unique and modernized and the food places had great foods.

Hands down the best hotel stay I've ever had. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful at all hours of the day. Bartender gave great recommendations for nightlife around Raleigh/ Durham. Clean room. Quiet. In walking distance to bars, breweries, cider, and restaurants.

We decided to stay here in order to avoid a late night drive home after the show at DPAC - which is a minute walk from hotel. We will be back. Loved the hotel. I loved the clean modern look of the lobby and rooms. Our room overlooked the green area that is currently displaying Durham Christmas Trees and a Christmas Tree Lot. Staff was attentive and room was clean. FYI: apparently there is a railroad line somewhere nearby. I could hear the train whistle in the middle of the night. I personally like trains and I’m a good sleeper but I know some folks wouldn’t care for it.

Nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for DPAC and Bulls. Nice bar. Rooms very minimalistic and modern. No towel bars in sink area is rather inconvenient. Thermostat is difficult to get to a comfortable temp....either really hot or really cold....wierd. But the worst part is the fact that it is next to railroad tracks....and 3 trains blowing whistles went by between midnight and 5AM.....not a good night's sleep. Really a shame for such a nice hotel.

Very trendy place. Bathroom is fresh. However, if you're sharing the space with anyone, be aware of how much you'll be sharing. No fan or means of drowning out your most personal sounds or releases. The TV is a bit dated and had no means for linking to it. Asked for an extra set of towels and left a decent tip for housekeeping. Unfortunately, returned to the room only to find NO towels in my room. But they took the tip. This place has so much potential. They just need to step up their game a bit.

This place is super close to everything downtown and was just what we needed in a pinch. The room was amazing and very clean and modern. Parking was easy! We walked to a nearby pizza place and enjoyed our stay very much! Will be staying here again of ever we are back in Durham!

Love this place, but it’s been getting pricey lately. Great location, right next to the Durham Bulls stadium and a short walk to restaurants. Nice staff and on premise parking (for a fee).

I really wanted to like this hotel. We are Marriott Platinum and my husband loves the aloft brand. He checked in a few hours before me, and they deleted my name off the reservation (I made it under my name). They have these odd vouchers that expire daily for status holders, but they say $10 instead of 20, so we kept getting charged. Not only can you hear everything in the hallways, you can hear EVERYTHING at the Durham Bulls stadium, especially concerts. My room is marked as feather free due to allergies, but wasn't even though I arrived at midnight. The AC is a cheap window type unit, despite being a nice hotel. The pool is not cleaned and full of floating hair The staff is constantly confused; they couldn't give my husband directions to their own parking garage. I'm just not impressed. This place may be a *bit* cheaper than the downtown Marriott, but I suggest the other Marriott brands if you are going to stay downtown Durham. $230 a night is outrageous for this low level of service and satisfaction. EDIT: Last night I asked the main front desk employee if the hotel sold Tylenol, Tums, or bandaids (if they had a small convenience area). He kept saying "Cum? Cums? You want cum?" over and over!!!! What the ever living @#$&! After three times saying this, he just turned around and walked away from me.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. If you are going to DPAC you truly cannot be any closer. It is also surrounded by several restaurants that are in walking distance. Unfortunately though the hotel isn't worth the price. The rooms are fairly small and average, there was no complimentary breakfast, and it just didn't meet the price. I might go back because of the convenience of DPAC but if that's not a priority try another hotel.

This hotel is not that old, but appears to have been ridden hard. At this price point I expected higher quality, but was greeted by a torn window shade and stained shower grout. The location is perfect, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, but if given the choice I would certainly opt for 21c or The Durham. Both of which offer more of an experience than Aloft.

Good location (near American Tobacco campus) and generally clean. My room was on the 2nd floor. Found that the shower had a mildew odor but forgot to mention on check out.

Clean and new. The front desk employee was kind and showed genuine concern about our stay and room satisfaction. He even accomodated us with a top floor and nice view. Loved the bar and the vibe downstairs. Rooms get pricey and their garage gets busy when there's shows next door, but the parking is convenient and reasonable. Great home base to explore Durham and unwind. Use Marriott points for the best value when prices are up for shows next door. Got a $380 value for just 35,000 points using that trick.

Loved the location. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean. The overall hotel was very clean. The bathroom design should be different. The toilet shouldn't be closed off with the shower. The bathroom is located next to the entry door but doesn't allow for privacy. There isn't a door at the space allowed for basin use or general dressing. I believe reducing some of the living space where the bed is located (1 king bed room) would allow for changing the bathroom design. Also, there wasn't any towel rods. We had to use clothes hangers for our wet face clothes and damp towels. There wasn't any king of soap dish or shower caddy inside the shower. You literally have to place your soap or shampoo bottles etc on the shower floor tub. They do however provide pump soap and shampoo attached in the shower. I always supply my own because of brand type that I like.
