This is a small place with a big heart. A small gem. I found this place looking around because i was in town for buisness. The front desk brooke was very pleasant and helpful. Kim was awesome to chat with! You can tell she cares about the people here, you feel like your more than a membership number to her. Come here and get yourself a membership not to a gym but to a lifestyle and family club. This place is filled with people who share smiles with you no matter how many times you walk past them. I have been to alot of gyms but this one doesnt compare. It goes to show that you dont have to have it all to be loved. Traditional area mixed with a crossfit area. No contract. Great price!! No gimmicks, no cons. Great music, great vibe.... A type of gym worth traveling 30 minutes out of your way to get to....

DO NOT GO HERE! I had a horrible experience at this gym, they make it so terrible to get out of that GYM MEMBERSHIP I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! The people who work there are super deceiving and not trustworthy. They will ask for your credit card info and just take out your money after signing a cancelation form in person ,making up outstanding balances from different years and different months not to mention the manager is bad at communication, rude and very hard to get a hold of after weeks of trying to get in touch and was finally able to once i said i was gonna get purse legally for them STEALING MY MONEY!!

I've been going to Velocity a few times/week for the last few years. My partner and I preferred to support a local gym instead of a larger corporation, and we feel comfortable here -- there's lots of equipment and we're able to get great workouts in. I attended one fitness class and really enjoyed it (haven't attended more because I've just been lifting these days). My biggest gripes are: 1. Some of the equipment is in pretty bad shape and there doesn't seem to be any intentions to fix/upgrade (this includes every paper towel dispenser); 2. the weights are usually very disorganized and in the way around the squat racks -- I wish patrons would do a better job of putting their weights away when finished, though it'd be nice if the staff could come up with a better system so things aren't strewn all over the floor; and 3. like the other reviews, we experienced being charged different amounts for different months despite being on a contract where the price is supposed to be the same every month. For now it's doing the job, but there's certainly room for improvement!

WARNING: The gym itself is fine, moderate facilities, kind staff but I would warn anyone joining that they make it difficult to leave. If you ever think about pausing your membership just leave out right as if you leave after pausing they will charge you for the paused months.
They do offer classes and the people who go there are nice people as well of all ages. Ok choice if you are too far away from any alternatives. -
This gym is a ripoff, scam facility. I signed up for their Fitsmart challenge because they told me they would have additional fitness classes available throughout the day for this challenge. They never added classes, they kept the same daily 2 or 3 classes which was available to everyone, not just the people who signed up for the fitness challenge.The challenge costs more than just a monthly membership. In order to “cancel,” you have to call a separate company who then contacts Fitsmart yo determine if you can cancel or not. They told me I couldn’t cancel because I signed a contract (which claims there would be additional classes available and a lot of other things which weren’t available to challenge members). The front desk staff lady is always rude and the owner is rarely ever there.
