The food was average. Service was very slow. It was around 5pm on a Thursday and we (family of 4) were the only people in there, our food took about 30 minutes to come out. And then there was the chip policy, see photo. I get it, they can make their own decisions about what to charge and for what, but this is unusual for a Mexican restaurant and was disappointing. I was pretty turned off for multiple reasons and likely won’t be back. -
Spacious and well decorated, quick and friendly service. The quesabirrias were amazing, and included a huge portion of rice and beans. The margaritas were decent and a good price, but my date said the "breaking bad" wasn't the best. My only complaint is that the salsa that came with the chips tasted like marinara sauce which put me off a bit. -
Went to a few other locations. This location was great. Is located in an old rustic brick building downtown Durham. Atmosphere was great. Food was awesome. Drinks were good. Definitely tried if you’re in the area or never tried this restaurant before. Friendly staff food was very hot and delicious. We ordered the lunch fajitas and split cheese dip. -
This is absolutely the worst mexican restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. They served queso dip cold. The ACP is unseasoned and watery. The margarita has marginal flavors of alcohol at all. It tastes solely of margarita mix. I sat with my table and almost cried because of how disappointing the food was. The service was ok & the vibe was completely depressing. I did not want to leave having paid anything but did not want to take out the awful food experience on my waitress. -
Visited here from out of state so knew nothing about this place. Looked nice upon walking in, however, we were the only ones there on a Thursday evening around 7pm. We had just received our chips, salsa, queso dip and chips. We had eaten about half of the chips. I took another chip, looked down, and saw a huge, dead roach curled up in the chips. Literally thought I was going to throw up on the table. After informing the staff of what happened, left immediately. Highly do NOT recommend ! 🤢🤮
