A beer and bike-loving brewery that started in Raleigh a decade ago now has a second location on the ground floor of the Beckon Building in downtown Durham’s warehouse district. Crank Arm isn’t just a fun place to grab a quality craft beer, it’s also a place for people to connect with a community that likes to stay active through regular group bicycle rides, runs, dog walks, yoga classes and more.

Our favorite Durham bar! Good place to watch games, great beer and cocktails. We haven’t joined the bike club but like their trivia nights and walk club, they have a bunch of other events on their calendar. They are dog friendly and have a dog park next door. Some outdoor seating and usually a food truck. Parking is free for 2h in the lot right across (although not strictly enforced in our experience), but also easy street parking. And you can order food with free delivery from timber pizza or torero’s next door. Adam the owner is super nice. They’ll play whatever you want, we always come for women’s basketball games and they’ll find the channel we ask for.

Was my 1st time here, attended an event planned by an online group. The bartenders were great and the manager was awesome. Good atmosphere and location. Was easy to find parking. Will definitely go back!

Good looking bar, but the beers are even better. Staff is friendly and professional. If you like the beer, there are several selections available in cans to take home.

We had our welcome party here the day before our wedding! It was so fun and ran smoothly. Adam did a great job keeping it organized and running our couples trivia! Everyone had a great time drinking and mingling!

Visited on a Friday night when the bar was scheduled to close at 12am so we could watch the World Cup. We ordered drinks are were sitting close to bar watching the TV. At 10pm, the bartender turned on all the lights in the bar, locked the doors, and took out the trash. We checked our watches and the schedule on the door to make sure we were not there past closing. Nope, 2 more hours! Shortly after this, the bartender turned off all TVs. We returned our unfinished drinks to the bar and asked what the hours were. The bartender said they decided to close early today since there was no business…
I truly do not understand why the bartender could not have communicated the modified hours with us via a sign, letting us know when we ordered, or letting us know before the TV we were watching turned off!! Will not be returning :)
