I was in Durham for work and chose Skrimp Shack on a whim based off the good reviews, and I’ll now be a regular every time I’m in town! The staff was super polite and kind, the environment was very clean, and the food was AMAZING!!! I came in on a cold day wanting soup and ended up getting the combo of soup + sandwich. It was a huge portion and tasted so fresh. I can’t wait to come back

The service was fast and the staff was friendly. The vibe was laid back and the music was great! The food was so good I had to get an order to go to take to my mom! I’ll definitely visit them again very soon!

My first visit, excellent catfish nuggets, shrimp & hush puppies! Shout out to Micheal who took our order, brought it to us and continued to check on us even though they were busy. Also have to mention the live music/open mic of “Four of a Kind” that was top notch! Will definitely be returning soon esp on a Friday for open mic!

Not sure what the green shiny worm looking thing is in my cod basket meal, but I spit out everything and tossed the basket in the trash. AI says it’s a nematode (worm). Very disappointed especially when this local has a Food Rating of 99.

The food is made to order, always hot and well seasoned. They are also reasonable price and you get large portions. I love the cat fish, shrimp, hush puppies and sweet potato fries.
