First time visitor at the River Church and all I can say is, what a ‘powerful’ service. I loved the flow/move of God at the 11am service. It was uplifting and refreshing and I was so blessed to have been there. My only issue/concern is how very loud the music was. Love the music ministry, but for those who deal with tinnitus (like my mom), or those who struggle with other hearing issues, or have sensitive hearing like babies and children, the loudness of the noise, although joyful, was challenging to get through. Earplugs are definitely needed when you visit here. Last, although many would not have necessarily known who the visitors were today, with the exception of the brother at the door, the experience was missing warm and friendly greetings that would have welcomed unfamiliar faces to this Church. Showing and feeling love (not just to the people you know) is something that is desperately needed and necessary.

Addressing the anointing in this place, it's definitely there, the Father God, Son and Savior Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is present in the Church building. Bishop Ronald Godbee and Pastor Karla Godbee are wonderful, caring, and dedicated leaders. Leadership and Order are active. All are welcome from the entrance in the beginning to the exit in the end. When you come with the mind to receive from God you never leave empty. The word is truly food for the soul. If you come hungry and thirsty for the word, you will be filled.
I said all this to say, I absolutely love it here at The River Durham Church.
I am a dedicated member online for years do to my health and lack of transportation. Still lacking transportation, but every chance I can get to enter the house with praises and Thanksgiving, I'm there.
No judging outer apparel, individuals just come and see for yourself.
