The Boot Room is best for big soccer matches — with themed menu items like The Rapinoe grilled chicken sandwich, or the Italian Maldini — but buzzes for just about any big sporting event. They call themselves a sandwich shop, but you don't want to sleep on the appetizers and big salads: the bang-bang tots, fried pickles including okra, green tomatoes, and a house-made feta-dill tzatziki and the hearty Carolina cobb salad make everyone a winner.

Great selection of apps and bites to go along with your beer from Beer study. The tots are absolutely incredible. Saucy, crispy, tangy, and popping with flavor. If you get one thing, get the tots, and wash it down with a few beers. Perfect.

This place is awesome! Great food: I got the special nachos and my friend got the burger and fries, all amazing! Great drinks: we got some draft beer and it was spectacular, a lot of options. Great atmosphere: we walked in to watch some MLS soccer and they put it on the big screen right away. I will be back!

Came here to watch the Champions League football ("soccer") midweek. They have paramount + which has some of the games, and they showed at least 4 different games at the same time. Great spot to go to watch a match! Free parking outside, nice and friendly staff, plenty of beer choice including non-alcoholic beers. I'd come back again when in town to watch football, but the atmosphere was a little quiet - perhaps because it was 3pm local time.

Upon walking in, there appears to be 3 separate places, which is slightly confusing. There’s a place to order right when you walk in, but a sign towards the back left says “Boot Room” and leads to a bar area. It would probably have help if anyone had spoken to us when we got there. Once we finally figured out we were in the right spot, we ordered our food, found a seat, and went to the adjoining “taproom” to get a couple beers. The guy in the taproom greeted us right away, and was very friendly/helpful. The food and beer were very good, they just need to work on the “service” when you walk in, because it’s definitely not inviting. The walls in the place are decorated with tons of football (soccer) memorabilia, which is pretty cool, and the taproom has a lot of drinks available to buy.

We ordered wings with fries, and a pastrami sandwich with macaroni salad on the side. salad could've had more flavor was a bit bland but good, the pastrami was one of the best I’ve had. Perfect pairing by adding saukraot and dressing. Delish and the wings were cooked perfectly. Getting a cider from next door was the perfect match Blueberry lemonade cider. I look forward to coming back for brunch. If the mac salad was much better I would've given it a 5.

This Durham treasure has all the personality of of Downtown hangout, without the pricing. A delicious menu (mainly bar fair) that's cooked well every time, a super friendly staff, and a relaxed vibe. The dining room also connects to beer study, so it's a perfect place to spend a few hours with friends, either gaming or just talking. We had the burger and chicken sandwich which were both delicious! We have ordered the same as take out and the same care and expert cooking were delivered to both!
