Food was normal; Flavor was good. Ambiance was good. Thanksgiving menu is not gf. I was offered a separate GF menu with no prices on it. Overpriced. Service was fantastic. 6 oz petit filet was $30. Potatoe wedges were $15. Salads are $15. Will I come back? Probably bc hubs like it. I dont recommend taking kids. Teenagers might enjoy if not too picky.

Ruth’s Chris has been my favorite restaurant since my first visit a few years ago, and it never disappoints! My daughter and I dined there last Friday after a less-than-great experience elsewhere, knowing we could count on Ruth’s Chris for great food and service.
Although our order was delayed at first, the hostess and manager handled it exceptionally well. The manager personally apologized for the miscommunication, offered us a complimentary appetizer (the stuffed mushrooms—amazing!), and later even took care of half our bill as a gesture of goodwill.
The food was outstanding, the service recovery was impressive, and the overall experience reminded me why Ruth’s Chris remains one of the best dining spots around. Highly recommend!

The location is definitely interesting, lol, but the service was great and the food was lovely as always. I wasn’t a big fan of the au gratin, but the steak more than made up for it.

Food was amazing, I had the pork chops and hubby had the lamb chops, both flavorful and cooked to perfection. The stuff mushrooms on the other hand were okay, served at a temperature (not warm enough) that may it just blah for me. The staff where friendly and attentive.

Ordered a cobb salad and gumbo. Pretty disappointed with the food quality and portions. The salad was served crab cake style and had to be 50% croutons. It was so saturated in dressing that is all I could taste.
The “bowl” of gumbo literally had 2 baby shrimp and a bite of sausage. Served luke warm with a spoonful of rice. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We highly recommend this Ruth’s Chris location in Durham. The food was delicious. They newly renovated and it looks beautiful. The service was top tier. Our server, Ayla, provided some of the best service we’ve ever received and we are frequent fine diners. She was super knowledgeable about the history of Ruth’s Chris, their products, and their award winning wine list. She was great at providing suggestions based on what we were looking for and very friendly. We will definitely be coming back and requesting her as our server again.

Lovely meal, with solid service and a gentle atmosphere. It’s been a while since Ive visited a Ruths Chris and this was a good reintroduction. Cocktails were well made and that strawberry lemondrop beats any cordial they could offer.

Our meal with delicious. We were a good size group and everyone was happy with their selections and even had some leftovers. Service was attentive but we weren’t rushed out. The timing of ordering to enjoying drinks and appetizers and then the entrees followed by dessert was paced out well. We weren’t rushed all able to enjoy our celebration meal.

I had a wonderful experience at Ruth’s Chris! I sat at the bar and was lucky to be served by Desmond, who was incredibly professional and made my martini exactly how I like it—perfection. The food was just as impressive, and the atmosphere made for a really enjoyable evening. Jimmy, the GM, also went out of his way to check in and make sure everything was great, which I really appreciated. The service, drinks, and food were all top notch. I’ll definitely be back!

I came here to celebrate my brother's birthday. When I walked in I approached the hostess looking for my brother's table as he arrived before me. When I located it I started to walk toward the table. As I am walking to the table the hostess is quick to tell me that there are no hats allowed. This is February so it's cold outside. I was going to take off my hat and coat when I got seated. They didn't even give me a chance to get settled. I thought they were being a little quick to enforce a dress code before I even sat down.
The waiter we had was great however. He was very attentive and provided us with great service.
Food was a mixed bag. For as much as we paid we expected perfection but that wasn't the case, especially when it came to the steaks and lamb. My mother, who was also there, wanted a steak that was well done. When she got it there was still some pink in there so it had to be sent back. I ordered some lamb chops and I wanted them to be medium well. When I got mine there was still blood. I had to send mine back as well. When we got our food back they were both done to our satisfaction.
Overall, my suggestion would be to allow guests to get settled in before trying to make someone take their hat off. Also, be sure that the steaks and lamb are cooked properly the first time.
