Big space just a long walk to the entrance depending on where you park. Went to a soul food festival out there and it was a great vibe.

Wonderful park for relaxing and walking. Great place to see a performance as well! Durham does a great job with the set up and sound. Restrooms are available and there is plenty of open space to take advantage of. There is always shade around the outer perimeter if needed as well.

I've attended a couple of events held in Rock Quarry Park, so I have only seen the field in the park and its surrounding areas. It's a lovely park with plenty of green space - perfect for a picnic or a Frisbee game. It's located adjacent to Duke Regional Hospital and the Army National Guard facilities. Rock Quarry Park is also right next to the bike path, so it can be a lovely Durham biking destination.

I was a vendor for the DP & R Canine Field Day and things were very well organized. It would have been nice to have bathroom facilities available but that isn’t surprising in a municipal park.
