I had a great experience at Amy’s Bead and Pearl Knotting Class Level 1. Amy is a professional jewelry knotter, artisan, and bead store employee with more than 30 years of experience and it shows! She guided us with great skill, patience, humor, stories, and a lot of support and personal attention in a class set up for a maximum of three students so there is plenty of opportunity for her to interact closely with each student. The class fee includes materials selected by each student to her/his taste, which allows you to make a necklace you can keep. Amy demonstrated the basic technique and provided a lot of tips, tricks, and individualized corrections. We spent two highly congenial hours bantering as we practiced our knot making. I’d recommend this class for at least slightly experienced beaders who are comfortable with beading tools, though it is appropriate for beginners. Bead and pearl knotting is a foundational skill that is essential in jewelry making and repair, and it allows for a lot of creativity and reclamation and modernization of vintage jewelry. Be careful though – it’s addictive!

Absolutely loved this place! Making my own bracelets and just shopping around. Very nice store and Amy was a great teacher as well. Made sure we had everything we needed for the class. Had an absolute great time 10/10 definitely will come back!!

We came last minute and Miss Jade helped us look around and assessed all of our particular needs. We found a wonderful red tigers eye, and we were very pleased by the rare earth beads customer service.

I just took an evening wire earring class (my first ever jewelry making class) with Amy and it was so much fun! With excellent guidance, I was able to create a very pretty pair of peridot and garnet bead earrings. I am also signed up for a pearl knotting class, and I can’t wait to take additional classes. The shop also has a fairly extensive variety of very pretty beads, clasps, wire, tools, etc.

I took an intro level beading class here last night and had the most wonderful time! The instructor was so kind and patient with us! I was able to make two bracelets within the timeframe. I'm obsessed and will definitely be back to purchase supplies and take more classes. Highly recommend their store! Tons of options and priced well.

I walked into the store on a Sunday afternoon after having lunch nearby. The atmosphere inside was so peaceful and inviting that I decided to stay and make my own necklace. I had been looking at similar beaded necklaces online from Etsy and other sellers, but it was so satisfying to design and make one myself.
