There is so much to say about Foster's! Eating here is an experience like your grandmother's best cooking, the farmers market, and a restaurant all at once. The food is made using local ingredients and has a vibrant flavor. Desserts are especially good, and you can also get a great cup of coffee. They have seating options indoors and outdoors, and you can even sit at a table in their garden area. It can get busy during lunch hour, but it is worth a visit!

I went to Foster’s Market for lunch and was very satisfied with the taste and quality of their food. Foster’s Market has a wide variety of food choices from breakfast, lunch and side dish salads. The service was also top notch, the waiter was very friendly and the food was brought to us quicker than expected. A must-go location for lunch if you are in and around the Durham area!

What a great little place! I came down to visit my sister and she took me here for breakfast one day. Tons of options, plus we grabbed some items for lunch later. Their scones were AMAZING and while we bought them to share, I kept my chocolate chip scone all to myself. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Truly wish we had a great place like this back in NJ!

Service 5/5, ambiance 5/5, food 4/5 The staff was very friendly and polite. Loved all the sitting around the restaurant and all of the different foods you can get at the market part of the store. Highly recommend the sour peach gummies, not too sour but you can really taste the peach flavor. The sour cherry jelly we bought to bring home is DELICIOUS!! Also the cheese straws were delicious also, a little over priced for the amount in the package. For breakfast we ordered the berry pancakes and they were good. I got a side of eggs and they were cooked perfect and not dry or runny. My husband got the breakfast burrito and it had plenty of eggs and he added bacon and sausage a for extra charge. I got the single caramel latte it was ok I think I should had asked for a second shot of espresso because it was very mild coffee flavor and not hot enough. The bathrooms were clean and well kept.

Ate lunch here with a friend for the first time wow the food is delicious! I had the chicken sandwich with red peppers and lettuce. I bought some desserts to go which were fantastic. The mixed berry pie is so so good and the crust is perfect. Will definitely be back! I love the market, the people and the whole vibe. It’s a one of a kind place in Durham and a gem. Parking could be troublesome but there is a good-sized lot and some street parking spots.

Mixed feelings on this place because I really love the ambiance and the vibes but it was super chaotic over a weekend lunch rush. Not really clear where to go, how to order, or how to pay. But the food was good, they have a lot of options, and it was very cute.

2/22/2023 lunch: we ordered the daily omelet special (which today was salmon with onion) and the Italian grinder. Both were very good! We ate outside since it was a beautiful day. Our food came out pretty fast. The cheesy grits were excellent! I read some of the prior reviews and it is a bit confusing as to where to order since it’s not obvious (order in the area near the menu boards). The food is brought out to you. Check out their bakery ‘specials’ rack near the cash register. Today, we bought the herb biscuits (4 for $6).

Stopped in for brunch Sunday 11 after we found out the BBQ place we wanted to check out nearby was closed on Sundays. But I'm glad we found Foster's. It's a cute little spot that offers brunch plates, sandwiches, and salads. You order at the counter, find a table, and they'll bring the food to you. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but it was too cold to sit outside, so we did have to lurk a little to nab an indoor table. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too long. I had the BLT and it was nice and light somehow, despite it being a bacon sandwich. Great option if you are looking for a quick and casual sit-down brunch.
