Foster's Market has a charming cottage café vibe. Head over for breakfast or lunch and enjoy a salad, soup, sandwich or one of their many baked goods (perhaps a slice of their indulgent peanut butter pie) on the patio or lawn. On your way out, stop to peruse their selection of local gifts, including jams, coffee, toffee, cheese straws, grits and candy, along with cookbooks and kitchenware.

Would recommend the weekly/specialty omelet. All the cakes are yummy but the tres leches strawberry cake is amazing. Their lattes are also very good.

Nice cozy place that serves breakfast and lunch. We were in Durham area and looking for a nice local place to support. Foster’s Market definitely matched what we were looking to find. We both ordered sandwiches that were fantastic. Nice size and well made. I ordered the Jammin Turkey Breast Sandwich (very yummy) with just the right amount of spice from the pepper jelly. My wife ordered the Roasted Turkey Breast sandwich, which she really enjoyed. Very nice place to visit with friendly people and plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. If in the area you need to visit.

A fun, eclectic restaurant with a deliciously diverse menu that makes you want to come back again and again until you have tasted every item on the menu. You feel like you step back in time as you peruse the old-time candy collection and the ample selection some of the tastiest cakes and pastries on earth. There is a separate coffee counter where you can get an excellent cup of made-to-order coffee just the way you like it. There is indoor and covered and sort of uncovered outdoor seating. It was a perfect day when we went, and we sat on the covered porch and made a memory of a lifetime with the family. I plan to make this an annual family sojourn. I can’t wait to return to this “destination restaurant” in Durham. Highly recommended, be prepared for a great time and delicious meal!

Great brunch, super busy on the weekend. I loved the breakfast biscuit and cheese grits. Don’t miss out on the cookies. You order at the counter like a deli, then sit anywhere that’s open and someone brings your food out to you, then you pay at the register before you leave.

The guy taking my order seemed impatient. It was after 1pm on a Friday and there was no one behind us. Breakfast order the over medium eggs were over cooked, the biscuit was hard and cold, the potatoes were cold with too much Italian seasoning, but the bacon was really good. His Cubano sandwich with a side of Red Potato Salad was delicious! Self serve drinks they do NOT have Sweet iced tea. You can add syrup but it just wasn’t good. His sandwich was brought out first. Halfway done, my breakfast arrived. I asked the second guy if there was any jelly? He just swung his arm behind him, “over there”. I get up and can’t find any except for jars of jelly. “I guess they want us to buy that”, I thought. Husband looked and several minutes later, found some packets. After eating, you take the ticket to the cash stand up front. The lady was standing near the second register and pointed to the first register. No “how was your meal?” “Was everything alright?” She didn’t even smile. While the receipt wasn’t broken down, the total with tax was about $37.00. Since I’ve wanted to eat here for awhile, I was disappointed in the food and the staff. It’s also over priced. If we come back, will just get a sandwich and a coke.

This place has a quaint atmosphere of an old-time country-store. The food is good, fresh, and the proportions are plentiful. Unfortunately, the menu is pretty limited if you have allergies, and they often can't omit items. Service is great. This is a wonderful place to bring an out of town visitor for a quality meal with a good vibe.

I absolutely love foster’s! There’s not a ton of places with similar vibes to my favorite outdoor restaurants in Arizona, but this one does it. I love the market / restaurant combo and they have soooo many options for food and other cute things to take home. Everyone is also always super friendly

Foster's is a restaurant & craft market with a deli style cold salad counter. They have convenient grab n go containers of deli things as well as coffee and smoothies. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito for about $8. It was a pretty solid price for the meal but even with the salsa, the burrito was dry, bland, and stuffed with cold potatoes. Underwhelming. My girlfriend really enjoyed her toasted breakfast sandwich though! The parking lot was an absolute nightmare both entering/exiting. Probably not at the will of the restaurant, mostly tourist chaos.

Foster’s Market is a cross between a local shop to a spot to grab some grub. Your experience: Upon entering the market, you step into the “store” side, the menus hang above deli like counters. Then there are numerous team members readily available to assist when you’re ready to order. The team is friendly, yet being it a first experience the server crew taking our order was not quite up to speed on what menu offerings you can add to your meal order. We had to ask another team member on how to pay + what we had to do next as we went to find a spot to sit. The place offers extensive seating choices {inside + out}. The team members scribe your order, then hand you your paper order, and you then go over to the store side register to pay. {See picture of our Order + review on food}. Store side: Offers a selection of goodies, from local pantry items that make great gifts for friends + family to candy + chips. They sell beer + wine too.

There is so much to say about Foster's! Eating here is an experience like your grandmother's best cooking, the farmers market, and a restaurant all at once. The food is made using local ingredients and has a vibrant flavor. Desserts are especially good, and you can also get a great cup of coffee. They have seating options indoors and outdoors, and you can even sit at a table in their garden area. It can get busy during lunch hour, but it is worth a visit!
