Stopped here on a whim this morning after leaving AutoZone. Wanted some breakfast so I ordered chilaquiles (steak huevos). The tortillas were a perfect combination of soft/crunchy in a delicious tomatillo sauce, topped with queso fresco.
The egg was a tad overcooked, but the steak was seasoned nicely.
It took about 15 minutes to prepare.
I also ordered a piece of flan Mexicano that was absolutely delicious.
The restaurant was small and clean with a beautiful mural on the wall in the classic Mexican style of bold bright colors. The staff, all women, were friendly and took my order right away. The menu was written in Spanish, but anyone coming here would know what they are ordering because they'd appreciate authentic Mexican cuisine. If that's you, I highly recommend La Cocina Latina. -
Food was homemade, very authentic. I loved it. -
This is a real deal taqueria. Clean authentic flavor. Its the exact opposite of taco bell or del taco. Strongly recommended. Helpful tip: Bring hand wipes. -
Delicious food filled with flavor! We usually order takeout, the restaurant is small but offers seating in and outdoor. We enjoy the tacos, gorditas and tortas. Their salsas are also very tasty. The service is friendly and quick. We cannot wait to go back 🇲🇽💚🤍❤️ -
We highly recommend La Cocina Latina if you’re looking for truly authentic Mexican food. This was my first visit, and it did not disappoint.
We ordered chicken & cheese pupusas and the steak chilaquiles with eggs for lunch, and everything was excellent. The pupusas were flavorful and filling. The tortillas had the perfect balance of soft and crispy, all coated in a flavorful tomatillo sauce with just the right amount of heat for both me and my husband, and topped with fresh queso fresco. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the steak was well-seasoned and made to order.
Even during a packed lunch rush, our food came out in under 15 minutes.
I also picked up a large flan Mexicano, which was absolutely delicious and a perfect dessert to enjoy after my meal and at home (the best kind of leftovers!).
The restaurant itself is small but clean, with a brightly colored mural that adds to the authentic atmosphere. The staff, an all-women team, were friendly and took my order right away. I also liked that popular menu items were displayed with pictures above the counter. We’ll definitely be back!
