Love the set up of the sites and scenery. Facilities are very clean. Most campsites are level and are easily accessible for rv parking. Only gave a 4 rating due to no water at campsites as it is still winter. Currently here (February) and Temps are in the 70s. Attached pictures are of campsite C19 in Poplar Point.

Love this lake! My papa is a regular here he drives here from Durham. He goes to this lake almost every week. Caught some great fish here, lost my biggest fish I ever caught and made some awesome memories

This was a fun stay. Was there for 7 days and it went fast with lots to do in the area. Staff was easy to work with and kept the park up well. Our spot (B9) was secluded with the neighbors a ways away, and an easy walk to the lake! Will go back if in the area.

We enjoyed a spacious, shaded site in a clean, well-kept campground. While kayaking on the lake, we were visited by a bald eagle. This is 9ne of our favorite places to camp.

Great water front campsites (tents) and nice spacious pads with power just behind them (have power hookup). Can’t beat the cost for a couple night rental. Swimming was good and the water is super warm (it was early August), great to lounge and just relax in, just don’t expect to take a dip and cool off 🤣

Good lake. It's pretty busy, and a little choppy, but the temperature is warm. Bring my family to the campgrounds every year before school starts. It's become an annual tradition. The family loves it.

We arrived during the week and it was very quiet. Nice lake and 'beach' area. Mid July and very very few insects visible. Friendly host in area A. Conveniently located water spigots for non electric sites. Not far from modern food and service stations.

This was my first time at any type of Lake and I gotta say this place was extraordinary and was cool. We stayed at the Beaver Ridge Ln part of the lake and it was a pretty view with the camper and boat really close to water. Stayed 2 days and was a really fun time. We inter tubed and I flipped and it was a cool place. Went site seeing with the boat and it was very scenic and the lake was huge. All great things at this lake. I love it and I’ll certainly go back knowing where I live it’s less than 30 minutes!!!

Only saw just a tiny slice of this park during a reunion. Nice pavilion area equipped with a cooking grill, electricity, fireplace, and lakeside benches. Restrooms just a short walk away. Plenty of parking close to the site. Amenities for the kids and a public swimming beach. Only 4 stars due to the small bit seen.

Love camping here! Poplar point is more crowded but better for having visitors. Parkers creek is quieter. Very easy to get in/out. The public beaches are also fun for a day! Take my canoe out here all the time.

We went camping at one of the group campsites. We were close to the lake, and there were restrooms close to where we were. The restroom had showers, toilets and sinks. The campsite had a ring for the fire pit, several grills and picnic tables. There were not specific places to put your tent like some campgrounds have, but the forest was cleared enough for our group to be able to put up all of our tents with plenty of room to spare. I can't wait to try the individual campsites.

A nice relaxing area. Currently free to enter. The sign says no charge to enter until March 31st. Plenty of parking . Plenty of kids were there on a weekday. There are places to change clothes, grill, relax and have a good time. Alot of trees for shade and open area if you want to get some sun.
