I was in Raleigh for the day and was just out walking when I came across the place. I wasn’t for sure I wanted a burger tonight but wow what a treat. I was not expecting how delicious this was. The cheese absolutely covered the fries, the burger was juicy with a soft bun that literally melted in my mouth. And the Cookie Butter shake was amazing and is now my favorite shake ever! I would recommend this quaint burger joint to anyone!

My first time trying and the food was pretty good; hot and fresh! I would go back just for the chili cheese tots (or fries) again!
Reason for the 4 out of 5 stars: my acquired taste buds didn’t necessarily like the complete taste of the meat on the burger.

Burgers are phenomenal. The cheesy with bacon? Fantastic.
The workers? So kind and to the point. They even bring you your food and take your trays if they aren’t busy.
Shakes are mid though. $16 is too much for what it is. The brownie one doesn’t really taste brownie.
I wish the burgers had combos, the fries and drinks are a combo but not with the burgers.
Overall I really enjoy them though! Very rich burgers, so make sure your stomach isn’t sensitive :)
Love to order them through doordash as well.

This is one of our favorite burger spots in town! The burger is similar to a smash burger, it is very delicious and juicy every time. They have many different build your own options. The fries and tater tots are top notch and crispy. A great all around experience, would definitely recommend!

The food was very good , hot and fresh. The only complaint is when you say A1 burger... you should put more sauce than just a drop in the middle? I would have given a five-star if not for that.

Damn! What a great burger! I got the Carolina burger combo. The double patty cheeseburger was hot, juicy and delicious. The chili and creamy slaw on the Carolina burger was very good. The burgers are prepared fresh when ordered so there will be a wait time. But if you are not in a rush it is well worth the wait. The hot fries were perfectly salted. I ordered tea but they have milkshakes too. You’ll love Wayback Burgers! Stop by for a hot and juicy burger now. Enjoy!

Such a good burger!
I ordered the classic with all the toppings. Onion rings on the side with chipotle mayo sauce. Made from scratch.
Took about 10 minutes. Worth it.
Bun almost started falling apart as soon as I picked it up. My biggest complaint. I went through a few napkins. The toppings were lettuce, a couple tomato slices, pickles, raw diced onions, mustard, ketchup.
The onion rings were tasty. Went well with the sauce.
I'm coming back here.

I got the build your own and it was really good. Everything is made when ordered so it's hot and fresh. Service was good, definitely will dine there again, next will try the milkshake!
