This hotel is my go to everytime I’m home. The staff are always friendly, rooms are always perfectly clean, and the location is perfect for getting to downtown easily.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay! The hotel was clean, and our quiet corner room made for a peaceful retreat. The location was perfect—everything we needed was nearby. Special shoutout to L.A. at the front desk for his exceptional customer service—he truly made us feel welcomed! We will definitely be visiting this location again!

My check-in at Hyatt Place Durham/Southpoint in February was extremely disappointing. There was only one staff member working at 3 PM, which is peak check-in time, leading to a long wait. When I finally reached the front, the process was rushed and impersonal.
During the same stay, there was again only one staff member working at another time. She provided much better customer service than the initial person who checked us in, but she was still overwhelmed. She had to handle answering the phone, making guest coffee, and preparing drinks—she did the best she could, but it was still a bit of a chaotic situation.
For a hotel under the Hyatt brand, I expected better customer service, better staffing, and more accountability. While the location is great, the service left much to be desired. I did receive a response from guest services explaining that two employees were out sick over the weekend, which disrupted their usual services, but this didn’t make up for the inconvenience.

Clean location. Horrible breakfast. They had the food in “your mommas” cooking pans and the eggs were water. Probably the laziest front desk staff I’ve ever worked with. As I was trying to check out they stayed seated in the bar area.

Quiet, clean, an friendly environment. The staff is amazing. My husband gets cold at night. During check-in I requested extra blankets. The blankets were delivered within 30 minutes. The location is perfect. It's near restaurants, shopping, and the interstate. We'll definitely book the Hyatt on our next visit.

The location is excellent for grabbing a few things from Aldi, a great coffee and waffle from People's Coffee, or a fantastic burger from Town Hall. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable. If you plan to stay in Durham, Hyatt Place Southpoint is where it's at.

I cannot tell you all enough how amazing the team is at this hotel. When I say team I really mean team because the way they all work together, it has been very impressive. Management has gone out of their way to provide not only a great room for the dogs and I, in a time that we really needed assistance because we were displaced by Hurricane Helene. From the moment I walked in that door, until today, we still have about 5 weeks left, they have been so welcoming, kind and polite. The front end are true all stars, engineering, housekeeping I mean I could probably write a book about these folks and their can do attitudes. That's how happy I am. So if you're looking for a hotel in the Durham area, look no further because this place is the real deal ❤️. Thank you staff for all you have done for my dogs and I. It truly means the world.

I live half of my life in hotel rooms for work. The staff at Hyatt Place Durham are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. From check in to checkout- every single person I interacted with was genuine, engaging and most of them were pretty funny too. You can tell that everyone here loves their job and works well as a team.

Great hotel with great decor, rooms, and service. My only complaint is that they stated they have EV charging on their website and Expedia listings yet they did not have any notice their EV charging has been gone and under maintenance for weeks.

I really enjoy staying here. The customer service was amazing. The people were very friendly. If I needed anything they helped me out. I would definitely recommend this place to say if you’re ever in town the next time I visit this will be my flight.

My son left his eyeglasses during a school trip on 9/15/24. The hotel swiftly located them and held on to them for over a week! I made many inquiries and was politely assisted each call. Noel, Noel! Thank you.Noel at the front desk is definitely the most valuable employee. Thank you for your patience and persistence.

LA and other staff were helpful and kind. Room is spacious, beds are comfortable. Pool is marvelous and breakfast is complimentary and many options to meet the wants and needs of everyone in your party. I would absolutely return if ever in the area again.

My husband and I booked a room here for our anniversary and had a fantastic time. The desk agent gave us a quiet room far away from everything so that it was just the two of us. The room was clean, comfortable, with fantastic air conditioning (it was a 92° June day) and a super comfy bed. Continental breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of pastries, breads, cereals, and hot foods. They even had single serve, sealed, gluten free breads! The hotel staff was wonderful. Friendly and very attentive. We absolutely will be going back.

The stay was fantastic. Room was clean, there numerous restaurants in close vicinity. The pool was nice The staff was excellent. The breakfast on the other hand was tragic. That sausage was undercooked most days and the grits were like playing in dirt. The strawberries were I am not sure or the word, just don't eat them. If you can do without a decent continental breakfast this will be a great stay. The staff again is very helpful and welcoming the room and hotel is pretty clean as well.

L.A. who worked the front desk was extremely kind and accommodating. We were upgraded to a corner suite automatically because of our Globalist status. Hyatt is great about rewarding those who are loyal to their brand. The facility was very clean and comfortable. I recommend this hotel, and the area in which it is located.
