The holiday Inn Express Durham (2516 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705) is a fantastic location. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, the room’s clean, the beds are so comfortable, and the breakfast is good. I would certainly recommend staying at this location if you’re in the area. Maybe ask for a room away from the Highway as I was able to hear it from the second floor room I was in.

Clean, quiet and nicely designed rooms w comfy bed and pillow. Good lighting (task and general). Super nice staff. The breakfast had a ton of options from hot items like cinnamon rolls, pancakes, omlettes, biscuits and gravy, etc. to cereal, fruit, toast, etc. Right off freeway.

The employees here are amazing! So friendly and caring. Everyday they asked how my husband was doing at Duke Hospital. The beds are amazingly comfortable and my room was so clean. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast attendant was so nice every morning. I felt very safe here staying alone. I highly recommend it.

I don’t know if there is a more clean hotel in the country. Seriously, I’m 36 y.o., travel for work and this is the cleanest hotel I have EVER seen including 5 star hotels. There is no dust, no rust, smells good, no random pieces of hair, the fridge is nice and clean…you know how you can tell a space has really been cleaned…this is it 😭. I stay here EVERY single time I am in town for work. I won’t stay any place else. Also, excellent customer service.

The hotel attendant was super nice! Made us feel very welcome. The hotel was very clean, beds super comfortable and the breakfast was nice. Will definitely be returning. They even gave us a first floor room since my husband is a Duke Cancer patient.

Stayed 3 nights. Very clean and up to date. Complimentary breakfast was ok. Staff was happy and helpful. Enjoyed my time there and would stay again.

I was expecting to give a superior review, but that wasn’t our experience. I found the room and property clean and the staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice. Breakfast was not great but I hadn’t expected it to be - basic high carb, low quality food but for many it would probably be adequate. The coffee was good. Our issue was that the room was never cleaned during our 3 night stay. I was surprised to find the room hadn’t been cleaned when we returned from our outing on day 2 and was told it must be requested. Surprised, I requested it, but no one came. Perhaps the desk thought the fresh towels they had given me was enough. It wasn’t. The next morning, I again requested that someone come to clean the room. When we arrived back in the evening it had not been cleaned. Again, the front desk gave me towels and two large plastic bags to empty the overflowing trash containers from our takeout food the night before and for the dirty towels which I left outside the door. It was late and we had been out the entire day and though we wanted the room cleaned it was after 7 pm and we wanted showers and some quiet more. One of the key benefits of staying in a hotel, at least for me, is that you don’t have to clean the room yourself. The person at reception was very nice and said he would speak to the general manager, but that since I had purchased the room through a third party, he didn’t know if anything could be done. I never heard a thing from the general manager … not even an apology. I hadn’t asked for anything, but I didn’t know that purchasing through a 3rd party, Hotwire, meant I wouldn’t get service. If that’s the case, I will stay elsewhere and you should too.

Above my expectations!! Mr.Steve at the desk has been very accommodating!!! Rooms are super clean and updated!! Lobby is exceptionally clean and neat!! Very refreshing!!
