I can't believe no one took any time this week to leave a review. I let my daughter call the motel front desk for a reservation. Lady was rude (9am) sent call over to a representative who said I could get my points for my stay if I used either my AAA or ARP cards. So I just opted for points. I already don't deal with anyone but the motel front desk to book rooms since these 3rd party groups charge more and one in April tried to get an extra $100 out of me. The AC was messed up when we arrived. Our room temperature was was set at 75. I put it at 60 and it took till 3am for the room to cool off. If you switched the button from low to high it ran lower so we had to keep it on low. The Halls (4th floor) and elevator was very Hot. I mentioned to staff how hot our floor was, she said the rooms and hallways were cooled off now. I explained no they aren't on our floor but she couldn't have checked being I ne er saw anyone else. The pool was broke . The nice gentleman was working on it. Front desk let me know it closed at 8pm anyway. WOW never had a pool close that early. She said it would be open at 8 next morning but my daughter learned from management it was 10am. So I had a crying, screaming 5 year old whose whole trip was mainly for swimming in the pools. Slept terrible, got sick during that night (bronchitis) Checked out immediately the next morning .

The hotel was clean, quiet, and exceptionally well maintained. My room was comfortable, spotless, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The staff was warm, welcoming, and professional, making check-in and my entire visit seamless.
The complimentary breakfast offered a great variety of fresh options, and the common areas were always clean and inviting. The location is also excellent, with convenient access to Duke University, Duke Hospital, and everything the Durham area has to offer. Overall, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Durham. -
I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express! The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the team was personable and welcoming. Every time I came in or left the hotel, someone greeted me with a smile, which made the experience feel genuine and appreciated.
It's refreshing to stay somewhere where the level of service actually matches the price you're paying. Great hospitality, clean accommodations, and a team that truly cares. I would definitely stay here again! -
Absolutely loved the place! Great location for fast food , quick fill up & hospital very close! The front desk staff was very welcoming . Breakfast was nothing short of amazing , room was very clean! They are really doing a great job with this place . Would recommend!

Excellent stay and staff was incredible! Kevin Thomas, has done fantastic job with turning this property around. This is my new favorite hotel when visiting Durham.
