Get your berries fast and dive into deliciousness! I agree with David that the berries which are completely red are the absolute best. We have eaten 4 baskets full already and are coming out for more. We made smoothies, shortcake, popsicles and plain bowls of cut berries. Enjoy them yourself!

What a great experience picking berries at the Heeks Farm. Worth the lovely drive up to the Lake Michie area, and the berries are some of the best I've ever eaten! I highly recommend families or friends getting out there and connecting with nature while harvesting beautiful strawberries.

Last year, David sold his strawberries by the pint. My husband and I bought a pint. The berries were extraordinarily beautiful! Each one a beautiful ripe red. The fragrance was enticing! But none of this prepared me for eating the best tasting strawberry of my life!!! The year before, we had some of the first blackberries produced at Heeks Farm - they were all large, juicy and flavorful. My thoughts, "run, don't walk to get your tickets to pick your own!

We were members of David’s CSA several years ago and loved the impeccable quality of his produce, the variety of veggies, and the extra support he offered, ie. Recipes and various other tips. David is an extremely conscientious, hard working and knowledgeable farmer and I’m sure he’ll make his transition to a pick-your-own format a success. As neighbors, we’ve watched him develop a variety of infrastructure, amenities, and crops to offer and when they asked us to pick berries for them when they were out of town we experienced firsthand what beautiful and delicious fruit he can grow. Can’t wait for opening day!

This is a lovely farm to pick your own. The produce coming from this farm is amazing, - so fresh and juicy. You can tell it’s grown with love and intention, David’s commitment to his work is incredible. The drive is one of my favorites, with scenic countryside and if you plan it right in the summer, take a bathing suit and a picnic so you can stop by the lake and swim. My kids love this outing. You’ll likely be met at the car by Chester the owners dog-a friendly welcome committee all on his own accord!
