The gyro and fries here are top notch! The gyro was perfectly seasoned, with tender, juicy meat wrapped in soft, warm pita bread, and topped with fresh veggies and tangy tzatziki sauce. The fries were crispy and golden, with just the right amount of seasoning, making them the perfect side. It was the ultimate comfort food combo—so satisfying and flavorful! Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious, hearty meal. -
Ordered a Gyro Pita and a side of hummus. While the Gyro was ok the hummus was not. It wasn’t like anything I’ve had before and not in a good way. The texture was off, it lacked that characteristic creaminess of hummus and the flavor, all you could taste is frozen garlic. Couldn’t taste chickpeas at all. At 6.5$ You’re waaaaay better off with store bought hummus. All in all it gets 3 stars bc the main dish was good and the service was great, fast and polite. Lady at register was very nice. -
This place is amazing. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the chicken ciabatta sandwich and switched the mayo for tzatziki. It was so good. We also ordered a gyro that was delicious. We had their fresh cut fries also which were great. We finished with Baklava that they served warm with a candle as we were celebrating 3 birthdays. We will definitely be back!!! The staff were amazing!!! -
Great spot at the can opener in Durham! The guy at the window is so attentive and kind. Great service and highly recommend! -
I had the both style gyro pita, ff, and hummus and pita. While it wasn't bad, the inconsistent seasoning throughout is what made the food rating a 3 for me. Their menu says it is done just like in Greece, roasted on a spit and shaved fresh. To me, some of the meat in the pita seemed like it was added from pieces that fell off the spit and sat for a bit, while others truly did taste fresh and moist. The veggies in the pita were fresh, however, going a little extra like seasoning your tomatoes (salt and pepper) would make this pita that much better. The hummus was interesting. It was not the consistency I am used to, it was more like a no lump mashed potatos and I didnt really taste any herbs or seasonings in the hummus, the pita that went with the hummus was on point. I didnt see the point of the olive on top of the hummus. As mentioned before a little extra seasoning could make this hummus stand out (diced garlic, olive oil, diced red bell peppers, salt on top) would have sky rocketed the hummus to where i feel like it could have been. All in all, not bad food, cashier was super nice, and the restuarant was bustling(not too busy)
