The Raleigh-based brewery has expanded to Durham with a location in University Hills. Try one of the flagship beers or the latest taproom-only small-batch release. Gizmo is family-friendly and welcomes pups, so you can bring the whole crew, or stop by solo to make a new friend at trivia night.

A great place with a nice variety of beers or ciders. They have a ton of board games to choose from as well. A small selection of vinyls for purchase for a cool surprise. We didn’t order any food from the nearby restaurant that advertises in the brewery, but they do have pickup right at the counter of Gizmo. Bathrooms were also super clean.

Y’all should update your hours info. Says you open at 12 on google and on your door. Website says 3. No one came to open until 3:30 and even then we were sitting waiting at the bar for someone to appear to take orders. Very strange. But otherwise no negative experiences.

So many great things to say. They have a great beer selection. there is an absolutely fantastic NA section for all my sober friends. They do not serve food but there are so many take out spots in the area, so there are many options. They do have a ton of cheap snacks, like chips and candy and stuff like that. It is DOG FRIENDLY! And music bingo on Monday is a great time. Overall great outdoor and indoor seating and a very chill environment! And lots of parking is always a plus.

They don't serve food but the Indian restaurant right across the street will deliver it there or you can bring in anything you want they have good beer

Edit: I love that Gizmo’s supports local artists, and I love to buy art here as gifts when I can. Posting a few pics of the pottery & visual art I’ve bought from the art vending tables that are switched out on the regular! 🖼️ — If you are a poet this is a perfect place to write and watch the clouds and have a cold beer/cider. I can’t think of a better place. Lovely beers, beer “cocktail” blends, and bartenders will give you a taste or sample. Great, casual place to meet friends for a cheeky pint.

Great place to meet up with friends and family. Lots of games to play. Easy to order food from nearby restaurants (ex. Curry Up Now) that is delivered to the taproom.
