⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Flying Bull Restaurant & Brewery did not come to play. The Brussels sprouts alone had me ready to testify — truly some of the best I’ve ever had. The loaded nachos with brisket were superb, and that brisket melted in my mouth like it had something to prove.
The drinks were on point, too. I loved the beer flight — they have some really good, unique beers, and we were giggling by the time we left. I can’t wait to go back and try the burger… honestly, I’m ready to try anything on that menu at this point.
Our waitress was amazing — super helpful, kind, and gave great suggestions that made the whole experience even better. Flying Bull is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. -
We went to Flying Bull before a DPAC show. They weren't quite full, but lots of folks were there to eat before rhe show as well. Our order consisted of Mac and Beer Cheese, Loaded Nachos with brisket, Buffalo Chicken dip, a Gormet Burger with Truffle Fries and Banana Pudding. For drinks we tried the Double Smoked Old Fashion and Berry me in Mint. The Mint was very good and refreshing, not too sweet. And... I was told the old fashioned was great! The Mac & Cheese was really good. Not super creamy if that is what you are expecting. The crunchy shallots really made the dish. Most likely because it is beer cheese... so expect cheese, not cream. The Buffalo Chicken dip.is the best I have had so far! So creamy, good heat and nice chunks of chicken with fried pita chips. Scrumptious! Nachos were also delicious, although not as big a portion as tou may be used to. The gornet burget had great flavor and the trufflie fries were amazing. The Banana Pudding waa the final flavor of the nigh which was like your grandma would make. tExcellent dinner for sure. -
Incredible, all around. On point black ipa, great buffalo chicken dip, German bangers and mash on par with anything in Munich.
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would.
Madz was exceptional behind the bar, very friendly, very knowledgeable.
Will be back for sure...
Definitely needs consideration as one of the top dining/bar spots in downtown Durham. -
Amazing meal!!! We ordered the wings (honey sambal, scotch ale BBQ), deviled eggs, and brussels sprouts small plates as usual, and they did not disappoint. First time trying the burger (regular one on the menu, although there are at least 3 different limited edition burgers to choose from at the moment). The patties were cooked to perfection with great flavor throughout. Loved the crispy tater tots side. Everything paired perfectly with our IPAs - the Dancing with the Bulls and Bull in a Bottle Shop were both excellent choices for this entree and honestly just fantastic alone. Topped it all off with an amaretto for dessert, which definitely satisfied the sweet craving while also being somewhat reminiscent of my usual espresso martini. 5 stars for fast, friendly service and a warm upscale casual atmosphere. Definitely a spot I come back to every time I'm in downtown Durham - not my first time, and definitely not my last. -
Flying Bull served one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Came here to watch an NBA playoffs game the other night with some friends.
Beer was amazing. Got some of their IPAs which were exactly what i was looking for. Slightly hoppy and not too over powering.
The chicken wings were phenomenal. Favorite was the Honey Garlic Sambal. Also got the pan-seared snapper which was cooked perfectly and had a great sear.
Great place to watch sports and grab drinks/dinner with friends
