Nice hotel. Very clean. Lovely staff. Ruth and Wendelula were very accommodating and so nice during breakfast. Their breakfast was quite good. Real eggs. One day, bacon and one day sausage. Fresh fruit cut up. Loved the waffle. Went swimming in the indoor pool. While the room was warm, the water was cold. We still had some swimming fun until my granddaughter’s lips turned blue. One negative—they only have Pepsi products. Stop at the gas station for Coke products. I’ll definitely make this my go to hotel in Durham.

The room was clean, however there was some kind of bug flying around the lamp. And the shower fixture was coming out of the wall. Customer service was great.

This place is lovely. The Atrium is upscale and fresh decor is always a plus for me. The breakfast is hot and delicious.

One of the best Marriott's I've stayed at. Friendly staff, great location, and tasty complimentary breakfast in the morning!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was exactly what we all liked to eat. It was unanimous, we all agreed we should definately stay here again!

Nicest Fairfield I've ever been in. Comfortable, reasonably priced, great bar and great bed. Service was fast when I requested something, and the staff was friendly and pleasant. Probably my go to when in Raleigh moving forward.

This hotel has some exceptional features. First, following my 5th stay over the past 3 months, the staff has always been pleasant and helpful. Second, the rooms are clean and of decent size. The "suite" rooms are just a little larger and contain no more amenities than a regular room except for a 3/4 wall between the bed and the sofa. The free hot breakfast is very good. They normally have little cheese omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles and a mead (pork or turkey sausage and/or bacon.) Plus yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and breads. The bar area is open for a few hours each evening but I didn't visit there so I can't say anything about it. It is well-located next to the Southpoint shopping area and about 15-20 from downtown Durham. We had medical appointments at Durham Hospital and at their Page Road Orthopedic clinic so we were about halfway between both. The lobby is an impressive 6+ story open atrium. Rooms in the back side, away from the highway are a little quieter but even those in the front aren't especially noisy. (Turn on the HVAC fan and no noise from outside is obvious.)

The hotel is really nice. We had to stay here last minute and they were able to accommodate us. We enjoyed the beds as they were quite comfortable. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. Just wishing they had more gluten free options for my wife. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay

Cons: the first room I was given smelled bad (like cat pee) had a dead bug in one of the clothing drawers and the electrical outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. There were also some details of the room that needed attention, such as very chewed up looking wood around the refrigerator. Pros: The lobby has an updated, cool, modern vibe. Comfy pillowsClose to shopping conflict resolution was quick. When I called about the complaints of my room they were quick to offer a new one. However, as a rewards member I’m often given free upgrades, so I’m disappointed they didn’t just upgrade me automatically instead of giving me a terrible room in the first place.

Due to COVID-19 my room was not cleaned, I had to retrieve my own towels and with each passing day breakfast options dwindled down. I stayed here before and expected the same breakfast options as before, oh well. Hotel was clean. Staff was really nice.

Overall a good place to stay if you just need to stop over.Pros: great shower, hot water and pressure. The rooms are decently spacious and equipped with fridge and tv with Netflix and Amazon prime. Plenty of parking and right next to a gas station and shopping plaza for easy access to any food, clothing, and gas needs before getting back on the road.Cons: carpet looks like it could do with updating, we had dead ladybugs around the window sill, and on the top floor the bedrooms don’t get wifi. Luckily we weren’t working the days we stayed but that would’ve been an issue if we did.

When we came in the person at the desk was in the back watching TV and it was only 8pm. We had to call the lobby to get help. Besides that everything else was great. We only stayed for the night for my daughter's doctors appointment, so we weren't looking for much. We had a nice bed to sleep in, no issues with the heating unit and the refrigerator worked. I only wished there were microwaves and small freezer in the mini fridges.

When I'm back in town, I'll come here instead of the Hilton. At least the Marriot is clean and has better coffee.

Nice hotel, GREAT staff, location worked well for us as we were visiting Duke University. Close to the mall and plenty of restaurants and shops. A plus was the indoor pool for a dip in November as most hotels had outdoor pools, or they were closed due to the scamdemic.Overall GREAT stay, and will be back in the spring!

My wife and I spent 3 nights here. It was a very positive experience. The room was clean and fresh and the staff at the front desk and the breakfast area were always courteous and professional. We were especially impressed with Elizabeth the night clerk. We had to make several early morning trips to our car and she was always cheerful in opening the locked front door. She was also very helpful (and patient) in answering our questions.

Was it good?? Not really. The front desk was helpful, and that's the only reason this isn't a 1 or 2 star rating. The rooms are basic boxes. I could get as good for half the price. The reason I booked this hotel was because of the onsite restaurant and bar, and a cool looking patio area w a couple of nice fire pits... bar was closed. Restaurant was closed. Patio was closed.Average rooms, zero extras while maintaining an upcharge... weak.

My son I am stayed @ this Hotel 6/3/2021-6/5/2021,so we could attend my Oldest Granddaughter's graduation that weekend. The Hotel, just recently opened up due to The Pandemic. This is a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, pillows were very nice, the bath room is your typical bathroom in a hotel, small hair dryer, closets few hangers and Iron & Iron Board,Due to The Pandemic, rooms are cleaned if you stay four days or more,we collected our own trash as instructed and placed it outside of our room door, the hotel offers a mini fridge, coffee machine, ice pitcher with cups,wi-fi available and free HBO. The Hotel offers Continental Breakfast from 6:30 am -9:30 pm,nice breakfast, mini bagels, mini muffins, fritters, and there coffee is out of this world,to Sum things up,we enjoyed our short stay @ Fairfield Inn and I highly recommend This Hotel for any one who wants stay @ a nice clean, quiet hotel, that won't bleed your wallet. I gave a 3 star because when my wife and I got into our room the room didn't smell so great had a smell like a cat box. We had to get a room with double bed and we found a pair of socks under the sheets. And the refrigerator did not work. And the pool was not opened. The girls at front desk was awesome and always nice.

I stay here twice a year for Duke appointments. Have been doing this for years. Place is always super clean. Food is great. Amenities are more than plentiful. Laurie, the manager, is super nice. Convenient to everything at Southpoint. I have tried other hotels in the vicinity. Nothing measures up to this one.

Room service was limited based off covid but overall everything was kept extremely clean and nice and definitely was worth the price for this stay. Also close to Target, a gas station and Chick-fil-A.

Had a good experience here. The reason for the 4 stars is because the staff weren’t wearing masks. We felt uncomfortable because of the current spike in cases around the area. Please require your employees to wear masks for the safety of the people staying at this hotel.

Solid hotel. Nicer than most Fairfield Inn’s, but the WiFi is terribly slow in the rooms. I have stayed here 10+ times in the last 2 years and it gets worse every time. So, this isn’t just an isolated incident. May have to change hotels in the future.

Nicest Fairfield I have stayed at, with a great location. It’s a remodeled Four Points Sheraton so has a different vibe. Staff were all friendly, breakfast was good, especially the fresh fruit. Next time we are in Durham that’s where we will be staying.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and well taken care of, breakfast variety and service just as pre-pandemic which is refreshing. We had a little hiccup that was immediately taken care of and staff was very accommodating. A+ in customer service.

This hotel has a more traditional look and feel compared to Marriott's newer, more modern and bright properties; however, the facilities were very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Where this hotel really stands out is it's convenient but secluded location. Easy access to major highways, UNC, Duke, RTP and RDU. Only minutes to the impressive Streets at Southpoint retail area and within walking distance to Chick-fil-A and other popular establishments. The shower took a rather long time to heat up and the AC was somewhat noisy when the compressor would kick in, but ran quietly after that. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. Will return if visiting the area again.
