Cons: the first room I was given smelled bad (like cat pee) had a dead bug in one of the clothing drawers and the electrical outlets in the bathroom didn’t work. There were also some details of the room that needed attention, such as very chewed up looking wood around the refrigerator. Pros: The lobby has an updated, cool, modern vibe. Comfy pillows Close to shopping conflict resolution was quick. When I called about the complaints of my room they were quick to offer a new one. However, as a rewards member I’m often given free upgrades, so I’m disappointed they didn’t just upgrade me automatically instead of giving me a terrible room in the first place.

The hotel is really nice. We had to stay here last minute and they were able to accommodate us. We enjoyed the beds as they were quite comfortable. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. Just wishing they had more gluten free options for my wife. Would recommend to anyone needing a place to stay

This hotel has some exceptional features. First, following my 5th stay over the past 3 months, the staff has always been pleasant and helpful. Second, the rooms are clean and of decent size. The "suite" rooms are just a little larger and contain no more amenities than a regular room except for a 3/4 wall between the bed and the sofa. The free hot breakfast is very good. They normally have little cheese omelets, scrambled eggs, waffles and a mead (pork or turkey sausage and/or bacon.) Plus yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and breads. The bar area is open for a few hours each evening but I didn't visit there so I can't say anything about it. It is well-located next to the Southpoint shopping area and about 15-20 from downtown Durham. We had medical appointments at Durham Hospital and at their Page Road Orthopedic clinic so we were about halfway between both. The lobby is an impressive 6+ story open atrium. Rooms in the back side, away from the highway are a little quieter but even those in the front aren't especially noisy. (Turn on the HVAC fan and no noise from outside is obvious.)

Nicest Fairfield I've ever been in. Comfortable, reasonably priced, great bar and great bed. Service was fast when I requested something, and the staff was friendly and pleasant. Probably my go to when in Raleigh moving forward.
