It’s a good gym, BUT, the sauna has been broken four times since January because the gym management has not figured out how to keep member(s) from dumping water into our ELECTRIC sauna. This means that members have not had full access to the services that they have paid for. I agree that it’s really hard to fix “stupid”, but if we don’t have a working sauna, then the well-endowed Duke Enterprise should decrease our dues. Management needs to get creative or just take out the electric sauna and replace it with one that does use water…I’ve had it.

Excellent facility. Clean, well lit, and friendly staff. Exercise equipment appears to be clean, of good quality, and either new or like-new condition. Much of the equipment is positioned so you have a view out very large windows to a densely treed area, which makes for an enjoyable workout.

I go before office hours around 6:15 am and the place already feels active. Trainers are focused but not overbearing, which I personally prefer. One rowing machine squeaks a bit, but most equipment is maintained really well. Showers stay stocked and clean even during the morning rush.

It is exactly what it purports to be, and then some. It's changed my life in 18 months. The most encouraging staff, and supportive community of members. It is my favorite place in Durham.
