We stayed here for a friend's wedding over a long weekend. Staff was friendly and made us feel right at home, rooms were clean and cozy, and the patio out back was a perfect spot to get some quiet in between wedding festivities. Extra shout-out to the breakfast buffet staff who made absolutely sure that I had my decaf fix and did it with a smile.

Great location for attending a football game in chapel hill. Love that you can park close to your room to load and unload and parking lot is very well lit so we felt very safe. Rooms are clean and the bedding is so comfy. Front desk staff at check in and out was very personable and friendly and of course the chocolate chip cookies were delish. We had the buffet breakfast $18 on a Sunday. Might sound pricey but the convenience, variety and friendly staff was well worth it. Sure beat stopping somewhere else waiting in line waiting for food and delaying departure for travel by at least an hour. The Buffett had a large variety of options and quality was great. We will return and I highly recommend

Clean and modern. Staff is helpful and friendly. Located near pretty much everything. And not breaking the bank expensive. We will be staying here again for sure.

Everything was wonderful during our trip. The housekeeping staff made our trip even better. We left irreplaceable items in the room and Aracely turned them in. Due to living hours away the hotel mailed the items. So grateful to the staff who helped us! Thank you so much!!

Not a great experience, room smelled like smoke, another hotel guest had a key that worked for my room, rooms need upgrades but are spacious. Nice pool and outdoor patio

Decent hotel. The rooms are ok. The food at the restaurant was pretty good. The gym is a typical hotel gym, dumbbells up to 50lbs. They have a cable machine but no attachments for it.

Big hotel, spread out over a large property. It has a nice inner patio and pool area outside. Restaurant and bar needs work..selection/flavor/quality. I'd order in and avoid the high priced average AF menu. Rooms are clean, though dated. Clean is the one positive theme here though..the whole hotel is very clean. Don't pay for a balcony room unless you're one of the drunks on business conference here (otherwise they'll keep you up until the bar closes). Overall a low 3.. I'd book elsewhere if I had a choice before coming back.

Had a great stay here for 3 nights. Enjoyed the outdoor pool and pool area. Nice seating outside. Nice bar and restaurant area. Staff was super friendly. Check-in was great. The beds we're comfy, room was clean. I would stay here again.

The room was nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is I had to pay $15 for breakfast. If I'm already paying 200+ for my room, I think breakfast should be factored in and complimentary to the stay. It was an inconvenience. We will be finding hotels with free breakfast from now on.

10! Charlie at the front desk really made my day. I was having a horrible day and was not so nice to her but I apologized and not only did she forgive me but she made me a goodies bag and blessed me with a amazing room! She made my day better with her kindness, professionalism and understanding of how life can be at times. I pray with all my heart God will bless her times 10 folds for what she did for me.

Excellent hotel with a nice pool. Staff at check-in and breakfast could not have been more kind and hospitable to our young family. Would definitely stay again next time we're in the area.

We loved our one night stay at the Doubletree! We requested for early check-in and they texted me once it was available. Upon check-in, my husband and I both got warm chocolate chip cookies and we had a king size bed which was nice. The restaurant was good for dinner and we also went for the breakfast the next morning. We used our $15 food and beverage credit. The breakfast buffet was really good. Lots of warm options. Would’ve loved to have a waffle maker but lots of other warm options. We would definitely stay here again. Clean, comfortable and lots of amenities to stay at the hotel.

This is an older hotel but well maintained. Very nice outdoor pool area and a great fitness center. Rooms are quiet, but the bathroom is small. Staff is helpful and pleasant. My go-to hotel when in Durham.

Stayed here for a short weekend stay. The location is great and close to major highways. The hotel is in great condition despite it being an older property. The rooms could use some upgrades, and better bedding. The staff in the evening was amazing and ensured to greet me every time they noticed me coming or going.

Our room really had a funky smell. The hotel is dated and a real maze to navigate. The rooms are dark and dingy looking with yellow cracked lampshades. Next time we’re in the area I would stay at another hotel. Thankfully we were only here one night. Also no free breakfast. And lots of steps to enter the lobby. The lobby is beautiful too bad the rooms don’t reflect the same style.

Great experience here! We went because they were hosting the Triangle Fountain Pen Show. At check-in they gave us warm, delicious cookies, chocolate chip walnut! The room was excellent, not a speck of dirt anywhere. Breakfast in the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment for my Mom because the eggs were cold, but my oatmeal was hot and very good, as was the Danish I had. However, lunch was great! The Reuben was wonderful, and the pizzas are big enough to share. My brother said the quesadilla was really good as well. One of the best hotels I've stayed in for a while! Oh, the Triangle Fountain Pen Show was amazing! Never been before this time, and only went because my brother insisted. Now I guess I'm hooked on fountain pens 😄

Nice hotel in need of some technological upgrades. There was only one USB charging port, in the alarm clock. The TV remote in my room also did not work. They replaced it. Staff was friendly and courteous. Pool area looked nice, although we did not use it. Breakfast buffet was good, but lacked biscuits and gravy!(I thought that would be standard issue in any southern hotel)

I was in town for a 2 day, 16 hour continuing education class and needed to stay a night. It was only 15 minutes from my class and I got there a little before 6pm. I was so tired and it was raining. The hotel looked nice even in the rain. Check in was easy and the front desk was just so polite and friendly. The hotel room was clean and refreshing. There was a fridge, but no microwave. I was fine with that. I was too lazy to go anywhere to eat, so I went downstairs to the bar to get something to eat. All the staff was just so refreshingly friendly and welcoming. The food was ok, but freshly cooked. I took it to-go up to my room. They had a restaurant too, but just didn't feel like dining. The courtyard outside was nice too. They had free wifi and I slept like a baby. I'd love to bring my hubby if we ever have to come out that way again!

Nice property set back which has its pluses and minuses, you can slightly hear the expressway from the parking lot but otherwise is a quiet and peaceful setting. The down side to that is your not really able to walk to restaurants or shopping if needed. The property has a restaurant, bar, and gym so you can just hang out there. The food was decent. But is was a bit like being on an island. The pool area and outdoor covered seating areas added to the resort feel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay but if I were to nit pick I would recommend more constant cleaning. It seemed the some of the common areas didn't get vacuumed often enough.

The property is very cozy with great touches like white rocking chairs, porch swings, a large fireplace in the lobby, and a pool area with a pool house, lounge chairs and lots of greenery. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, the water is hot and the pressure is standard. It could use some updates (as most everyone said), the standard pillows in the room a bit a bit hard, the walls are quite thin and, in case it matters to someone, there's a mirror at the foot of the bed, which can be a no-no in some cultures. Property is a solid 4-to-4.5. Everyone at the property has been incredibly chill and accommodating of my requests, especially Darnell. He has that great mix of easygoing, warm professionalism that really made me feel welcome and valued, bringing the charm of the property full circle, and putting the final star in my 5-star rating.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The room was clean, nice and well kept. The service was excellent and the attendants, bartenders and staff were nice. We didn't eat at the attached restaurant but the bar was well managed.
