Taylor at Club Champion Durham was fantastic. I came in just off my wedding and made it clear that a full new bag wasn’t in the budget. He didn’t blink—just worked with me every step of the way to get the most out of what I had and be smart about any upgrades.
If we found something we liked in a higher-end shaft, he’d help find a comparable option that made more sense financially. No pressure, just thoughtful recommendations. He was also *extremely* patient—especially during the putter fitting, where he watched me miss more putts than I care to admit and was still positive and cool and showed me the data on what's going on with my stroke. The putter fitting was worth it alone!
Taylor helped me tune up my (older) Srixon irons and gave honest feedback on newer gear—what’s actually better, what top name brands aren't great this year, etc. You can tell he really cares about getting you into the right setup, not just selling a particular vendor. We hit balls and checked loft and lies on darn near every club I own, including some other shaft profiles and heads I was fit into years ago.
If you’re in the Triangle and thinking about a fitting, go see Taylor -- especially if you want someone who’ll meet you where you are, respect your budget, and is super generous with time. We did a full bag over 3 days. CC is doing $100 full bag fittings which he waved entirely with some custom club purchases. Maybe I wasn't supposed to share that...but if you're thinking about it, go!

I highly recommend working with Taylor Fleig at Club Champion Durham. He recently fit my son for an entire bag and me for a putter. We couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. The fitting took several hours. Taylor was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and has such a warm and friendly demeanor. He felt like a friend right off the bat!

Michael really went above and beyond. He listened to my preferences, analyzed and walked me through the data and provided recommendations based on those things. Their turnaround on truly custom clubs was also a lot faster than I expected! Bought my last set from a big box sporting goods store and waited 2X as long! Can’t wait to get the new sticks!

I appreciated that he didn’t push merchandise on me and let me come to the decision on purchasing a new driver. In fact my irons performed better than any setup provided by CC to which Michael stated no need to continue down this path and we moved on. Great experience. Highly recommend!!!

I highly recommend working with Taylor F and Club Champion. I was recently fitted for a new driver and irons (separate fittings). Taylor ran me through many options and was really able to dial me into the best options. He really knew the products and what would work best with my swing. I've always thought fittings could be tough due to the number of swings you had to make to dial in the best fit. I believe Taylor's knowledge of the products and skill in looking at the numbers allowed him to get the best fit before I got tired and my swing got lazy. He's also good guy and made the experience very enjoyable.

Went in for a full bag fitting with Mike Ganor and just want to say what a great experience it was. Mike took the time to explain all the data that was being presented by Trackman and what the target was for each. He gave me a ton of great tips to improve my swing and really let me go at my pace. I left confident that we were able to find club combinations tailored to my swing and I look forward to taking them out on the course!

Had a great driver fitting with Mike Ganor! Mike did a really good job of walking me through the data and how he was looking to optimize my numbers through shaft and head combinations. Highly recommend Taylor and Club Champion!! I recently scheduled a fitting, and the entire experience from start to finish was nothing short of fantastic. Taylor was very thorough and detailed during the process. As far as the end result, I am very impressed with the clubs that were selected for me. Believe it or not, I hit a hole in one two weeks after receiving my new set of clubs (yes, there were witnesses 😂). Very happy I decided to go with Club Champion.

I have played golf for most of my life, but had never really needed to buy new clubs (Ebay sufficed). However, after a back injury and the decision to take some weight out of my (very) old clubs, I decided to try Club Champion for some new irons. I am glad I did. Taylor was great, including the initial fitting, ensuring the clubs were delivered to spec, and inviting me in for some lie angle tweaks after initial observations. Well worth it.

Taylor F and Club Champion were amazing in fitting my son for irons/wedges. The technology used was quite impressive and the show room is phenomenal. To have someone like Taylor in your corner who has all the knowledge when you have very little as a golf mom is a huge asset. He was not pushy and we didn't even order until the following week. He also worked with us and our budget especially since we will be back end of year for driver and woods fitting. Now my son can't wait to get his new irons and wedges in the bag. Couldn't recommend Club Champion more! It was my first time getting fitted and Taylor was so knowledgable and did not try to oversell. I am a beginner golfer so Taylor explained everything really well, he's communicated throughout the process very well and it has not been overwhelming at all! Definitely go get fitted here!

Great experience all around! Had a club break recently -- This prompted the visit, but I couldn't have been more pleased with the fitting process. Taylor was great, knowledgeable about his approach, and helped me work through a ton of combinations. At the end there was no sales pressure to buy anything, just a clear look at how all combinations performed. I did buy a new driver and a 3 hybrid to replace my ageing and now broken 4 driving iron. Five star experience!

A great fitting experience. Had the full bag, (minus putter) fitting. It was eye opening. Taylor F was very knowledgeable and explained the whole process. The information available to analyze my swing and equipment needs were all right there at Club Champion. After a few swings with my own clubs Taylor knew where I could improve. Taylor immediately had me hitting club combinations that showed improvement in my personal stats. The biggest improvement was my misses were not near as bad. And all golfers know misses are going to happen. He immediately recognized that the wedge I was chipping with had the wrong bounce and grind and had me hitting a wedge that drastically increased the spin on my chip shots so I can stop them quicker. My driver stats improved by swing speed and ball speed so I was getting more distance and again my misses were not near as off as my current driver. There was no pressure to buy anything, but of course I did. Prices are going to be higher than at your box stores but alot of the shafts CC offer are not available when you try and custom build your own clubs on a manufacturers website. I highly recommend Taylor and Club Champion. Can’t wait to get my new clubs.
