Property Managers - please be warned...this organization does NOT honor leases. They used to be great to work with, but my most recent/current experience has been horrible. Rent was always late when they paid, then they stopped paying altogether because the tenants skipped out. I've tried calling, texting, and emailing to no avail. Now I'm going through the eviction process (legalities) and my client is out of thousands. -
My family was part of the Afghanistan Evaluation and CWS was kind enough to take their case. The initial phase of the process was semi painless but dealing with the Match and Grant has been nothing but pure pain. The case Manager (not Gonna name here) has been disrespectful and dishonest. During multiple months only one face to face interaction was conducted with his clients. The case manager failed to assist them with Immigration support. And as the cherry on the cake he denied them their checks for no obvious reasons (made up cause and excuse). The case manager has been ignoring to talk to me as the US tie to the family and every time I contact the Durham office a different person answers the phone asks me to tell them what happens and no response back. As I will be meeting with My congressman I will make sure he knows what is happening and hopefully his addresses it with CWS Durham. I really wish it never came to publicly write about our experience with this Office but they have given me no other choice. I hope y’all have better experience with this Office. And if not reach out to your Elected Politicians and make sure legal immigrants get fair treatment. -
Could not have been any meaner or more condescending. I actually had to ask the woman to stop laughing as I described my refugee family and their needs. They offered zero wrap around services, despite receiving funding from the state for this EXACT service. They mentioned job placement but then disparaged my skilled friend as being a loser who needs to start at the very bottom. I suppose that’s because he’s a refugee and NOT a person with 15 years of work experience? For shame!! Embarrassingly awful. -
I can't believe they placed a negative mark on my credit for delaying payment of $45 for travel loan !!!! I was told when I arrived that the travel loan payments will be due after 10-12 months of the check-in date, but they sent me the first bill after 6 months! even before I get a job or be prepared to pay!
no one explained to me the consequences of delaying payment and how it can damage my credit scores! these guys don't tell or explain or tell you anything and they just do it and then suddenly you find yourself in bad position!!! -
I am just beginning to investigate more but they have done several absolutely grimey and unlawful things to friends of ours, including charging refugees $500 a piece to help them file for green cards. It costs a refugee $0 to apply for a green card.
