We had a wonderful stay and were warmly welcomed by the owners and innkeepers, Ron and Stephanie. Our room was beautifully decorated—elegant, comfortable, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The three-course breakfasts were outstanding each morning, with delicious food and attentive service. One of the highlights was hearing Ron share the incredible history of the inn, dating back to Revolutionary War times—absolutely fascinating. We followed all of their restaurant recommendations and loved every one. We also enjoyed exploring Durham and the surrounding area, especially the breathtaking chapel at Duke University. All in all, a phenomenal stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend this B&B to others!

I came into town for a Porsche event and I really enjoyed my stay at this B&B. Faustine was a terrific host and Abby was a delightful waitress in the mornings. When I arrived, I was greeted with pumpkin spice cookies. They were homemade and delicious! I was there for two days and stayed in the Payne suite. It was a beautiful room and made for a terrific weekend. The breakfast each morning was outstanding. Faustine made some kind of French toast croissants with bananas and whipped cream and link sausage to go along with fresh fruit and wonderful coffee. The second day she served a French egg dish that was baked. The meals were creative, beautiful and delicious. Several of the Porsche owners stayed at the inn and the breakfast area made conversations easy. I have stayed in very high-end hotels and bed-and-breakfast both on the East Coast, the West Coast, and in Texas and this place ranks up there - very high quality!!! I look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you for your hospitality and for making me feel at home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night visit to Arrowhead Inn. The innkeepers attention to detail is incredible and there were many upgrades in our cabin including the steam shower and real fireplace! The gourmet breakfasts were delicious. We’ll be back as soon as possible!

I never imagined there was a slice of paradise tucked away in Durham, but Arrowhead Inn surprised me in the best way. The service, the accommodations, the food, and the grounds all deserve five stars.

Ron was gracious enough to meet me during a quick lunch break to show me the rooms. Everything was spotless and spacious, the mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the sheets felt luxurious. And the whirlpool, WOW. Our own private bubbly retreat without having to engage in talk with other couples.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a special birthday getaway without traveling far, and that’s how I discovered Arrowhead. When we walked into our room, my wife was greeted with a chocolate cake and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. It made her feel like the queen she is.

Breakfast the next morning was decadent, and the grounds were just as impressive: the fire pit, gazebo, hammock, courtyard, and perfectly placed chairs on the lush green lawn. It truly felt like paradise, and I’m still amazed this gem is right here in Durham. Even attempting to stalk and get a rare sighting of the elusive robotic lawn mower proved to be quite entertaining.

While exploring the property, we happened to run into Ron again, and he couldn’t have been kinder. He took the time to chat, and his warm personality makes you feel like you’ve known him for years.

We can’t wait to come back and spend time in the Cabin. If anyone is looking for a special getaway, book a room here and enjoy the moments that make life feel extraordinary.

This place is an absolute gem! A locally owned and operated Bed & Breakfast on a beautifully landscaped historic property that is great for a luxurious getaway, or just a stop along the road. So much better than any Air BnB or hotel. Highly recommended!
