An absolutely first class experience. Ron and Stephanie truly know how to treat their guests and you can tell that they love what they do. The rooms are clean, and the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The breakfasts were amazing. I would highly recommend Arrowhead to anyone looking to stay in the Durham area. You will not be disappointed!

Arrowhead Inn is a true gem. This very historic B&B has been meticulously restored and maintained. The garden is beautiful, with mature magnolia trees and fragrant jasmine. This would be a great place to get married! The owners have thought of every detail to make you feel at home. We loved the breakfast, served with fresh fruit and a slice of home made cake. Owner Ron is the perfect host, making sure you have everything you need. Highly recommend!!

This is a hidden jewel. Do not hesitate to book here. It is a wonderful step back in time. Actually all the way to 1775 as the house itself is older than the United States. The gardens are beautiful and we found ourselves constantly taking pictures of rabbit, squirrels, and owls and birds as the lush area made us feel like we were in some remote resort. Ron and his staff do a wonderful job of making you feel at home and cooking wonderful gourmet breakfasts. The biggest magnolia trees in the world as far as I know must be here. It is a magical place. I sprung for the romance package which involved rose petals flowers, and bath bombs. It was a big hit with the Mrs..
We stayed in the cottage, which was extremely quiet and private. Sitting on the porch, swing listening to the Serenade of birds and cicadas and watching baby bunnies bounce around while having a cup of coffee is hard to beat. It is not that far to get to town from this, but there are no walkable restaurants. However, you can get delivery. For those of you that need an electric charger for your cars there are a couple.
Highly recommend arrowhead inn.

I surprised my husband with a local night away. We usually would stay at a hotel on Franklin St. and walk to dinner. However this will be our new local get away. You cannot beat the price for all the great amenities and 5 star service from the owners. The breakfast was delicious! I wish I had thought to take a picture for this review. I do not have anything negative to say.

My wife and I stayed at the Areowhead Inn to celebrate our 16th anniversary. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the staff was engaging and knowledgeable, and the room was beautiful. If you are looking for an escape that is close to Durham and Chapel Hill, this is your spot. Breakfast was delicious, and the Inn is gorgeous. Highly recommend, and I would go back.

We had a delightful stay at the Arrowhead Inn. After a long drive, we felt welcomed and immediately relaxed in the Inn and in the Lipscomb room.
Ron met us and shared some of the history, local spots for food, and all about the stay we anticipated. He was so helpful in addressing the questions we had.
Spending a night in a piece of US history was rich, restful, and engaging! We will certainly stay again!

Amazing B&B in a historic nicely renovated 18th century house with a beautiful garden. Spacious rooms with vintage furniture and modern amenities designed with great attention to the detail. Tasty and plentiful breakfast. Can't think of a better place to stay. 10 out of 10.

A nice change of pace from the usual higher end hotel. Quaint and quiet rooms, friendly, helpful but unobtrusive staff. Well kept grounds with gazebo seating. Breakfast served promptly. Of course as an historic mansion there is no elevator, so keep that in mind when choosing your room.
